Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by qwertyz12 Don't buy these for blinds that mount inside the window frame
Do NOT buy these blinds if you intend to mount them inside the window frame. The installation instructions are very vague. Because the front of the mounting bracket is too close to the top of the window frame, the only obvious way to install the blind is to insert the back of the blind into the bracket first. Doing that, the front of the bracket will never catch in the front/top of the blind and you bend the metal. After doing a so-so job of unbending the metal with some pliers, I bent the top of the brackets to give more room between the brackets and the top of the window frame. That allowed me to insert the front of the bracket first and twist the back into place. Unfortunately, one of the 3 brackets broke when I tried to bend it. I managed to use surplus parts from a previous blind to get it mounted securely, but the extra brackets aren't as hidden as they should be.
If you're mounting them outside the window frame, there ought to be enough room, so the installation should go fairly smooth.
Once installed, they operate well. They close pretty good and block a lot of light.
Recommendation: No for inside-frame mounting. For outside-frame mounting, yes; they're a good value.

I'll admit that these blinds can be pretty pricey... Especially if you have to put them up in every window of your house. But after putting up these blinds from Home Depot and blinds from the big blue home improvement store I'm much happier with the Bali brand since they're less of a hassle to raise, lower, open and close.
Installation is pretty easy, the instructions are easy to follow and the steps to hang them aren't very hard to accomplish by yourself

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CWinCO Good product, but the color is different than shown.
These are a good value for the money, especially with the free shipping. The instructions aren't great, but the blinds were still easy to install. The quality seems good and was even a little better than I expected.
The color is actually much darker than what's pictured on the website. It's more of a dark pewter with a slight reddish/golden tinge. Nothing at all like the light pink tone depicted. I'm glad they were darker and think it looks much better. These blinds do a very good job at blocking out light when they're shut.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by dlp Defective mounting brackets create struggle and headache
Typical blinds are installed with brackets that all have a basic, similar design. You first mount the bracket. Then the bracket has two features. A hook in the front to initially hang the blind and then a clip to secure. You hang the blind and when it is positioned correctly you rotate the blind main frame into place engaging the clip. With me so far?
The hook portion of the mounting bracket is defective. It is not properly formed and it is IMPOSSIBLE to initially hang the blind. The brackets are hardened steel and will break if you try to bend the hook to it's correct shape. I know. I purchase 5 sets of these blinds and they all had the same defective brackets.
The only way to use these brackets is to install them with the screws loose so you can initially hang the blind and then finish screwing down the screws while the bind is hanging loose and position the blind at the same time without having the whole assembly dropping to the floor and bending the heck out your blinds. I know.
I'm a mechanical engineer and work in the manufacture of metal products. And I restore vintage cars. I'm stating this to assure you that I'm not simply failing to follow instructions. Installing these blinds with the brackets provided may be too difficult for some people. If you work on cars and are use to reaching into blinds areas to do 2-hand tasks using one hand then this may be for you. Otherwise, forget it. Buy brackets that are not defective before you start.

We installed these in our office windows. They look very professional. I like the fact that I could take them to my local Home Depot and have them trimmed to the correct width for free. All in all, a very affordable solution with a very professional result.
