The Basement Watchdog Dual Float Sump Pump Switch with Controller activates your sump pump using a large, protective case-enclosed float that detects a 1/4 in. water level rise. The second float acts as a failsafe that activates your sump pump in the event that the first float does not, helping ensure that your pump drains effectively. Both floats drop easily as your pump runs for an additional 10 seconds to drain excess water, making sump water level maintenance easy.

  • Compatible with most sump pumps; detects excess water rises and activates your sump pump to drain it
  • Large float detects 1/4 in. water level rises, making automatic pump activation easy
  • Second float activates your sump pump if the first float does not, helping your sump drain effectively
  • Protective float cage helps keep debris and wiring from interfering with float movement; vented, curved bottom reduces debris build-up under the float
  • Allows your sump to run for an additional 10 seconds to drain excess water for simple water level maintenance
  • Includes controller and hose clamp that lets you easily install the floats at any level
  • UL/cUL Listed

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good worked as intended It came before the anticipated date. Worked on installatiin. Time will tell the story about its durability. I wish it had timer setting. 10 seconds of run does not really empty the sink out completely. February 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Done in minutes I wish I had this year's ago. Easy to install, and the best part is I can adjust it to where I want it. Mine runs 8 seconds instead of 10. I wish it was the full 10, but I'm okay with 8. Definitely recommend this switch. February 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product exactly what I needed I needed a replacement float for my back up sump pump. This was the exact replacement part that I needed and installed quickly. Received it in good time also. February 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pump switch I cooked my own little pumping station with a small fountain submersible and needed a way to activate it. I had little space to work with - everything must be in a 6" PVC pipe. This controller works perfectly - simple idea, simple to use. My water problem is taken care of. January 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by what a saver i purchased this to get rid of the previous switch which need to float to a certain level that made me uncomfortable. the DUAL-FLOAT SUMP PUMP SWITCH can be set at any level you want it without having to dig further down and if one float wont do the trick there is a back up float that will. I purposely jammed the first float (i dont recommend anyone do this) and the second float activated the pump while the water was still at a safe level. This has made me comfortable enough to the point i dont have to go downstairs to the basement and look in on the pump to make sure its been activated. February 26, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Works okay, but not as advertised While the switch works fine overall, I have one complaint. The write-up says the switch will let the pump continue for 10 seconds after the float drops to the off position. The switch I bought does not do this; the pump comes on for about 5-7 seconds TOTAL and shuts off. If it is supposed to go 10 seconds past the float dropping, the total should be over 10 seconds (15-17 seconds). January 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Malfunctioned After 45 days The control box is basically a 10 second timer. It worked fine for 45 days, but then it would not shut the pump off. If your sump is too small 10 seconds might cause the pump to suck air at the end of the cycle January 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Work Horse. So simple. Adjust to depth perfect. Comes ready to work. Everything you need. Compact, very small foot print. Have had for three years, works flawlessly. My application this unit cycles every 5 minutes during wet season. every hour dry season. January 3, 2015
