Yes, we highly recommend using the 24 Hour Grub Killer in the fall, if you have grubs in the top 2-3 inches of the soil. Please keep in mind this is a quick kill and degrades quickly. We suggest following up May - Mid August with our Season Long Grub Control.

I would wait 1 day after you have throughly watered it in. Remember, the watering in is the only way to get the chemical to where the grubs are.

10 lb. 24-Hour Grub Killer Plus Granules is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from only product left on market I could find to effectively kill chinch bugs in South Florida I started using this product in South Florida to keep the chinch bugs from destroying my St. Augustine grass. Another product was banned by the EPA last year was very effective for chinch bugs, this is next best alternative I have found, works best when you start in Spring and apply before damage gets too bad, apply pretty heavy and water well -Chinch Bug Killer with Arena was banned by EPA because the active ingredient Clothianidin was thought to harm bees - I had to call manufacturer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grub Killer Plus This stuff really works! I checked out a report from Michigan State University, boy am I glad that I did! They said that Scott's product was a preventative product, you have to use it before the grubs hatch. Which means you can use it only certain times of the year, late spring to early summer. They then went on to say that Bayer's product was a curative product and that it allowed you to use it WHENEVER grubs were present.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked! Applied Feb 17th in San Antonio Texas. Within 12 hours grubs were at the surface and dying. One comment. Keep an eye on the dogs afterward. Ours like to eat grubs, so we had to pick them up before the dogs ate them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from About watering product in. To me watering in meant not being able to see the granules anymore. Because I have several dogs I was concerned when the next morning I could still see lots of granules. Called Bayer and the representative explained to me that the granules are small bits of corn cob soaked in the chemical. Watering releases the chemical into the soil but many of the granules are still visible which is alright. Watering them enough to make them disappear would probably be watering too much and making the product less effective or possibly ineffective. I plan to keep the pets off the lawn for a couple of days as a precaution but by then the chemical should be out of the granules. I did not experience the chemical odor that some people mentioned and do not see any dead or dying grubs on the surface of the lawn but it has not been 24 hours yet.
