I then reapply when dry, no later than one day after the water bath. I don't know what your problem is, or how severe, so in general, just keep an eye on the plants. Read Less

Hi CYNTHIA,
I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for visiting our site.
The active ingredient in this product is potassium salt of fatty acid, also known as insecticidal soap.
This is a safe chemical to apply to all plants, including vegetables and fruits that targets mainly soft bodied insects like aphids, whiteflies and mealybugs.
Fatty acids penetrate an insects body covering and disrupt the cell membranes. The cell contents leak out
causing the insect to dehydrate and die.
Japanese beetles have a hard shell and are able to resist the effects of insecticidal soap. They will not be controlled by this product.
Thank you for asking,

Since the Bayer Advanced Natria Insecticidal Soap is only approved for use on the edibles plants that are listed on the label we do not recommend eating mint plants that have been sprayed with this for one growing season.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. Works on lily beetles Works great. If you directly spray a lily beetle they die pretty quickly. Not sure if it works on the eggs that are all over but it definitely kills the beetles. July 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally works on earwigs! I have a Terrible problem with earwigs. Tried many products (homemade and store bought) but this really works. Easy to use and comfortable bottle. Thank you Bayer!! June 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mighty on mites! I had a kind of rust on one of my perennial hedges. A close look made me suspect mites. This stuff stopped them cold. It worked! I love the fact that I don't have to use all the crazy powerful stuff. I did have to apply quite a bit and make sure to spray the underside. So, perhaps it was a bit more expensive. It is worth it though, to avoid all the dangers. I did take off 1 star for an occasional bulky sprayer. April 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bugs away seems to help keep the bugs away, have to apply several times June 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Effective Product Let me start by saying I do not have a green thumb. So when I get products like this, I rely heavily on their effectiveness. I have no idea what they use, but bank on what it says it can do on the bottle. Like other Bayer products, this was awesomely effective. It has an easy grip and spray bottle to work with. All you do is spray a light mist on your plants, flowers (roses), etc and bugs are gone. I used to use something similar with a home made concoction with a little dish soap and a lot of water in one of those huge sprayers. This alternative is way better! No fuss. No cleaning up. All you do is spray the bottoms of your leaves and it is done. The hand held feature of the bottle is the best part! July 28, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work. Bummer. I had aphids on my container mums. I first used 7dust but that didn't work so I rinsed the plants and tried this soap. I gave it three attempts to kill the aphids. No joy. Then I got the Bayer insect, disease and mite control with sulfur and pyrethrins but the trigger didn't work! I opened the bottle and tried to pour it on the plants, but it still didn't kill them. I wound up trying to rinse the heck out of the plants to get rid of the aphids. Maybe those two products work better for bugs other than aphids. I should have not been surprised they didn't work if the Sevindust couldn't kill them. April 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Multi- Purpose Insect Killer I found this insecticidal soap excellent for killing various insects that had attached to my gardenia bush. The aphids, white fly and mites were killing my gardenia. I tried various sprays and found the Natria insecticidal soap eliminated the pests. The product does not need mixing and is ready to use. Once the pests are gone apply on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Read the directions carefully so as not to damage the plant. December 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Natria Insecticidal Soap Works Well As an avid orchid grower, I am always on the lookout for products to protect my investment. Insecticidal soap is a definite necessity in the summer with the heat and humidity which brings its own challenges with pests. Having battled to eradicate mealy bugs last summer, I wanted to be prepared this year. I used this as soon as I saw the smallest indication there might be a problem, and Natria took care of it immediately. It was easier to use than insecticidal soap porchased previously, with a very fine spray application. I would definitely recommend it on any delicate indoor plant. July 30, 2013
