Answer:
If used according to directions and depending on what type of grass you have, it should not be harmful. You may want to try a small test area first with the hand spray bottle type before using the hose connected type. On chickweed, a second application may be needed 4 weeks after initial application.

The Bayer Advanced All-in-One Lawn Weed and Crabgrass Killer will not harm the lawns that the label lists it is safe to use on. Be sure to read the label before using as there are some types of grass that it cannot be used on. If you are not sure what your grass is we suggest that you test it on a small area.

Apply this product when no rain is in the forcast for 2 days. These selective herbicides work best when the temperatures are below 85 degrees. When the temperature rises above 90, the plants slow their metabolism and are less likely to be affected by the product.

Why is it advised not to use during emergent dormancy? (excuse my ignorance) the weeds are very much bloomed.

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Performance I bought this product to spot treat my lawn especially crabgrass and clover. It absolutely does not kill crabgrass after multiple treatments and did not consistently kill clover. I did appreciate the container and can use it for other products. July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of money and time It doesn't kill any grass after multiple tries. Choose something else! July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Killed My Grass Too! I applied per instructions on areas containing rye, and some areas with zoysia. In 3 days the weeds started to wilt. In 5 days they were dying. But my grass started to turn brown??? In 2-3 weeks after application, my grass died wherever I had sprayed. It should be called 'Lawn Grass Killer'. Now I have to scrape all this dead lawn and reseed in the fall. July 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't work Coverage is way less than advertised. After spraying a few dandelions got a little yellow but didn't kill any weeds at all. I would never use this again. March 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad results My lawn was full of creeping spurge and the product killed the spurge nicely. However, it also killed about twenty five percent of my lawn. My lawn is Santa Ana which is a Bermuda hybrid. Granted, the instructions indicate that the product is o.k. for Bermuda lawns except "that it may yellow the lawn but it should come back". Well hopefully it will over time but it would appear that it will take months to do so. I am very disappointed in what has happened since my lawn went from a beautiful lush green to dead and yellow in two days time. I sent an e-mail to Bayer but have not had a response. So in short, I would recommend people read the instructions closely before purchasing or using. September 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Killed the Grass Used this product on my front yard. My Bermuda grass was getting some crab grass so I decided to try this product. Within two days my Bermuda grass was brown. After two weeks the grass has not recovered. The only green in the front yard is the crab grass. My back yard that I did not spray is still green. August 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT BUY THIS!! I followed instructions perfectly and three weeks later the crabgrass is flourishing and growing stronger than ever while the once healthy areas of grass are yellow and dying. I WOULD NOT EVER BUY OR USE THIS PRODUCT. July 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of money Product design to open flow of product not made for petite hands. Used exactly as instructed and it killed not one weed!! Find a better product! May 24, 2015
