Even though the instructions on the product carefully explains how the product works to maintain a constant feeding for an extended period - the response from Bayer seems to be providing instructions for a different product that requires mixing with water and applying as a solution. There is a contradiction between what the packaging reads and the Bayer response. This is a timed release product. If you dissolve it with water it melts the granules and causes you to over fertilize your plants, i.e. six weeks of fertilizer and insecticide applied at once. The container states that you measure out the granules and sprinkle them on the soil around your plant. After you have worked the granules under the soil for an inch or two then water the plant. A normal watering or rain fall only dissolves a portion of the granules. If you read this webpage closely you will see "No mixing required" as a positive point. If you look at the pictures closely you will see a demonstration of the granules being applied dry to the soil under the plant being treated. Download the PDF to get a much better understanding of how to use this product. Hope this helps! Read Less

Hi batman,
The amount of water to be applied is not critical. The amount of product is more specific.
Apply one half of a cap full of product per foot of plant height, evenly distributed around the shrub or for every 12 square feet of flower bed. Roses will require twice as much product, or one cap full.
Apply water to the soil after you apply the product as you would normally water the plant. More Read More

Apply water to the soil after you apply the product as you would normally water the plant. More product is released each time you water or each time it rains on the plant.
Repeat this application every 6 weeks.

For me it depends on how big the roses plants are. For big plants I use two full capfuls, for smaller ones I use one or less caps.

The product will not heal infected leaves and canes. Plant sections displaying visible signs of disease should be removed as well as severely infected canes pruned away and removed from the area prior to the application. It is recommended that a foliar fungicide be applied to get curative relief until All In One Rose & Flower care has had a chance to work its way to the crown (about 2-3 weeks). Read Less

Hi Victoria,
I began to see results several weeks after applying the granules. I have one rose that was affected with Aphids a little worse than the rest of my roses. Most of my roses are Blaze Climbers and they did quite well within about a week. The problem roses were Peace roses. I increased the amount of the application about 3 weeks ago and they are now beginning to do much better. Check to make sure that your granules didn't float away in the watering sessions. They should be placed below the surface about two to four inches. Water without stirring the soil since the granules will easily float. If they are missing just put more down as a replacement. Check the bottle to insure that the disease you are trying to kill is listed on the label. If you don't see improvement in about 3 weeks I would take several good photos and show them to your Home Depot's Lawn and Garden Customer Support. I hope that this will help. D.J. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roses I use the Rose & Flower Care on my rose bushes and they are beautiful! This handles the black spot wonderfully. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Use and works great This was so easy to use! Just sprinkle it on the ground and water it in. Roses can be difficult to care for, but this keeps all the all the flowers blooming. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My Roses love this. I feed my flowers and Rose bushes this every year , everyone in the neighborhood tells me I have the most beautiful flower and bushes of anyone else. July 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Also Works on a Serviceberry Shrub/Tree We just landscaped our home in November 2014, and that included planting over 100 perennials, trees, and shrubs. This included 20 rose bushes (knockout and coral). We have treated the roses with this product and these flowers are doing great. We also planted a serviceberry tree/shrub and it began to lose its leaves in late June; the leaves would turn yellow and drop. We have treated the serviceberry twice with the three component (fertilizer, disease control, insect control) product and the tree/shrub stopped dropping its leaves, has new shoots coming from the base of the plant, and is doing well. We also water it by a sprinkler system for 20 minutes a day, every other day. August 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No Spraying Needed This Season! I have about 70 rose bushes: miniatures, tea roses and grandifloras. Every year in the past they were ruined because of black spot disease. A few bushes in particular, never bloomed much at all because all the leaves would fall off because of black spot. This year I used All in One Rose and Flower Care for the first time and had no black spot at all on any of my bushes...and no aphids or Japanese beetles either. What a joy not to have to spend all that time spraying my bushes every week. The product is fairly expensive but well worth it if you hate spraying as I do. My rose bushes never looked better than they have this year with lots of blooms. I was really proud of my rose garden this year. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must have for roses! If you have roses this is a must have product. This is an all in one product and fertilized and keeps diseases away. If you have roses you know they need to be sprayed with chemicals all the time. By using this it eliminates the need to spray because this gets right into the roses system and keeps them problem free. September 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bye Bye Japanese Beetles Came home from a business trip on Saturday to find that Japanese Beetles had invaded my knock out roses - an entire flower bed of them. The Japanese Beetles were visibly nesting in the petals and had eaten a good amount of the leaves. Sunday morning, I applied some Bayer Advanced Rose and Flower Care spray (connected to a hose) and the beetles died within 10 minutes. I then followed up with Bayer Advanced Rose and Flower Care combined feed and pest/disease protection. Bye, Bye Japanese Beetles! Hello healthy blooms and leaves! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great foliage - not too many flowers. I've used this product as directed since early spring. I was hopeful when the foliage exploded - even with the VERY wet season. However, only a few flowers appeared throughout the next few months. These are climbing roses well over 5 years old. Not very happy with this product. Will try on the shrub roses next season as well and we will see what happens. Hopefully there will be better results. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 6, 2015
