Great burner. It's pretty much assembly free. Puts out a lot of heat. I use it to boil about 3 gallons of water for brewing beer and I've had no problems adjusting the pressure to maintain a good rolling boil. It's pretty loud at full blast but that just adds to the coolness factor for me. Takes me about 30 minutes to reach a boil, but that's when it's about 20 degrees outside. I strongly suggest you do a pre-boil with this unit because as others have suggested, the paint smells really bad as it starts to burn off. Once you get through that though this thing works like a charm. I have noticed some soot that will appear on the bottom of my pot when I back the flame down to a "pilot" and leave it like that for a few minutes, but that may be just the nature of how these things work. I would say well worth the price. Just finished my third batch on it and there's still propane left in the tank.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BeachBoy PERFECT FOR BEACH BOILS!!
I bought this last summer to bring on our beach vacation (Outer Banks NC) for cooking clam bakes, Low Country Boils, corn, crabs, etc. Absolutly perfect with a 10 gal (40 qt) pot. Flame control is awsome and with a 40# LP tank I can use it for the two weeks we're there. In fact, I used it for tailgating duties at two Carolina Panther home games this past season. Again, great for chili, Brunswick stew, beans & franks, etc. I did extend the legs about 8 inches so as not to bend over but that's it. Buy it - you won't be disappointed.

This burner has a hot, clean flame. I have used it once so far to homebrew beer. Excellent product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tho123 great for home brewing
I did a lot of research on burners for my home brewing. wanted something that was more efficient, heats fast while using less propane. This burner puts out serious heat and brings water to a boil very quickly. uses a lot less propane than my previous burner which was a turkey fryer burner. When it is turned up high, it sounds like a jet engine. but when you cut back on the throttle, it is not too noisy. i notice no carbon buildup on the bottom of my stainless steel and aluminum pots, like some have mentioned. For the price, you cant go wrong with this burner.

I boiled 2.5 gallons of water in 10-15 minutes in 25 degree weather! Once I reached a rolling boil I was able to turn the flame down and sip the propane. Highly recommended!

Easy to assemble and operate. Smells a bit during the first hour of operation as paint burns off.

I use this t for big frying jobs where I don't want the grease laden fumes to gunk up the walls and ceiling inside the kitchen in our house. I should have bought this first. Instead I bought a couple of smaller cookers that just don't put out enough heat. So I again confirmed the saying that "only the rich can afford second best" equipment. So If you don't want to mess with the small propane bottles, and be able to do big outdoor cooking jobs, this is the piece of equipment to get.

I was looking for an outdoor burner for brewing beer that was not too expensive. I found it. Works great and IMO price was fair as well. Used it when it was around freezing outdoors and it worked great although I did put up something to block the wind as they were pretty strong that day. Definitely recommend.
