I bought this propane burner to use with a disk cooker and it is perfect! It is built much better than others I looked at for more money. It was delivered very quickly and shipping was free!

Purchased this item to aid in canning tomatoes from the garden. Assembly and setup easy. Only complaint was with the burner mounting. The single mounting screw tended to loosen allowing the burner to rotate and if left long enough, to fall off. I added a 1/4" lock washer to the screw and had no further problem. I also thought about adding a support strap on the burner to support the end of the burner at the frame to take some of the stress off of the single mounting screw. Good wide unit with sturdy legs. Setup in back yard and used a level to assure level cooking surface. Overall very satisfied. Look forward to frying fish and steaming oysters this fall/winter.

Short Review - Much better than my old burner that seems to have lasted through the civil war. Product was shipped to the house.
The Bad - The bolt that holds the burner to the frame was missing so I had to rig that up. Connection at the propane tank doesn't seal very well. Propane fumes were very present when hand tightening which I don't think is normal. I had to use a pair of channel locks to tighten the connection at the tank. The o2 adjuster is very loose and doesn't like to stay in one position even when adjusting the screw.
The Good - Large cooking surface. Will fit a keggle for homebrewers. Sturdy frame. Easy to adjust flame. Amount of propane used. Price.

I use this burner with a 5 gal. tank, on my patio deck, to boil crawfish in a 44 quart pot which can hold about 20 lbs. of mudbugs, max. Don't be in a hurry to start pinching the tails and sucking the heads because at 5 psi it takes about an hour to bring the seasonings and a half-full 44 quart pot of water to a rolling boil. If you want to speed up the process and/or increase the size of the pot that will accommodate a full sack or more in a single boil, this is NOT the burner to use. At the same time, for small to modest single-sized seafood boils for just a few friends, it works great! Also, it's perfect for those times when you need to prepare gumbo or jambalya dishes that are just too large for the kitchen stove, or you're just in the mood to cook, outside. Also, it's quiet (doesn't sound like an FA-18 on take off), even at max flow, and allows great control and even-heat distribution at all flow levels. The base is large and stable, but provides minimum protection from wind. All, and all - I LOVE IT!

The wind will affect the burner. It wants to blow out in the wind. I put tin around it to keep wind from flame.

Item arrived quickly. Was easy to assemble and adjust. Was cooking in 20 minutes. The stand is very stable. I boiled 10 gallons of water on it with no worries.
