The UV filter easily handled my 900 gallon pond although it says it only handled up to 600 gallons. I noticed a lot of algae about a year after I purchased and found out that the UV bulb had blown, so it was obvious that in the previous year algae free was all thanks to the UV filter. It has two input size choices, is leak free, and very compact. The most recent purchase I made online from Home Depot was because the store didn't have them in stock and I wanted two units because the first one worked so well. Great value for the price and is comparable to units three times the price.

I would recommend this UV Filter to anybody that has a small to medium pond. This thing cleared up my pond in 7 days. Went from a pea green soup looking mess to clear water. We can now see our fish swimming around!

The first one I bought was broken in the package, so I exchanged it. Very easy to install. Does a good job at clearing up the water in the pond. I can actually see the fish!

The filter it self is good but the twist on connections they include leak I had to BUY my own screw on connectors after a call to the manufactured told me to use screw on connections available at home depot. I recommend the filter but with the additional cost of the screw on connections.

I actually saw my goldfishes eyeballs it was so clean. Now I need to figure out the algae on the walls. Nice project figuring this pond out. Not the best picture, work in progress.

4 1/2 days to clear 100 gal pond. Smaller hose fittings need to be aligned on the four pegs and then worked in and out of locked position to center o ring for no leaks. 9 watts will not act as a heater.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fornowsky Really exceptional pond product - keeps water free of algae without chemicals
Very easy to set up it works in conjunction with pump (400gph to 1200 I believe-- I used a 500gph) and it is the best thing for keeping algae growth to a minimum. The water passes thru a chamber filled with UV light, it "sterilizes" the algae and it goes back into the pond. Very economical, does not require a mega pump.
I have a 30,000 gallon fish pool and it is in full sunlight most of the day. This little device made a real difference in the clarity of the water almost overnight and after a week it kept getting clearer.
Fish are delighted!!
