Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic solution! I got two of these so far, for our tv's - 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the living room, the recording devices are plugged into the "always on" outlets and the actual tv's cable into the controlled outlets. After reading some online reviews I made sure to match the frequency settings for each to not get them confused. This device works perfectly, it even has a little cable clip, so I don't have the dvd player plugged in at all since we barely use it, but I labelled the cable and keep it handy in the cable clip for when we do use the dvd player it can be quickly plugged in. I'm definetely getting one more for our office where we use two pc's. I'm definetely looking forward to seeing some energy savings on our electricity bill. October 10, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4 lamps, 2 sides to the room, all works at once. Love this product. Hated flipping each lamp on separately in the living room. some of them I had to lean over the couch. They were even located on opposite sides of the room so I couldn't just put them all on one extension cord. Today I have 5 lamps connected to 2 of these. Set on the same channel. One remote on the wall as you enter, the other on the coffee table. Now everything goes on or off with the flip of a single lightswitch (powerbar remote switch). I am on my way to get more for the basement living room. And for the computer room too. December 14, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Save Money! A little pricey up front but a great way to save money on your monthly electric bill! A friend recommended these and I am putting on on each TV in the house. November 19, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best remote surge protector I've purchased two of these surger protectors to manage lights in my house via a remote. This is the best solution that I've found without requiring the installation of wires to manage the lights installed. Highly recommend this product. February 14, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, hope to reduce our electric bill We plugged in everything in our entertainment center - TV, DVR, cable box, receiver, etc - into this surge protected outlet strip with a "remote" switch. The switch now sits on top of the entertainment center (out of the reach of our daughter) and we turn everything on and off. This lets us turn everything off at night and during the day when we're at work. We have read that turning off these sorts of "standby" electronics can decrease power consumption so we're hoping to be greener and reduce our power bill. It's easy and works well. September 12, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for room with a light switch that only connects to an outlet! Love this power strip!! We have no overhead light in our daughter's room nor can we install one as the ceiling is cement. We have the main outlet that the light switch on the wall turns off and on but we have a baby monitor and air purifier that needs to be on all night and we strung twinkle lights from the ceiling we'd rather not unplug individually each evening. This was the perfect solution. The monitor and air purifier stay on and we can turn off the twinkle lights with the remote stuck to it's holder on the wall. February 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Low priced energy improvement w/ easy installation Adding insulation saves money but isn't cheap and isn't easy. This, on the other hand, is not any more difficult than installing CFL's. And like CFL's, they cost a little more than their predecessors, but they save money. We put our switch for the unit on the wall right by the light switch. So when we leave the room and turn off the lights, we also flip the unit's switch. I put my monitor, printer, and speakers on the controlled outlets and the CPU on the "always on" outlet. The CPU goes into sleep mode while the other items are completely turned off. Since I needed a surge protector anyway, the additional price for this unit was only marginally more and will definitely pay for itself in less than a year ... especially considering I still have a CRT monitor in my office. Buy this! I promise it is super easy to figure out. By the way, the wall mount is just a sticker so no holes in the wall and you can (carefully) peel it off if you need to move it. June 29, 2010
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not perfect I have never wrote a review before but have to for this. All I can say is it does what it is supposed to do My problem is with the quality. The surge protector works fine but the remote is not worth the plastic it took to make it. Feels cheap and you need to push on the button(not just click it on or off) to make it work. Also the remote gets stuck in the holder so if you plan on mounting it, you end up tearing the mount off the wall trying to get the remote out. The only reason I would recommend it is because it works, just not perfect. January 2, 2014
