I'm not sure if there's something wrong in the instruction booklet that came with the Sensio cake pop maker, but for whatever reason, after following the specific instructions, the batter would stay in the bottom half of the cake pop maker and would cook fairly well in 6 minutes but wouldn't rise to meet the top half. Instead of filling the top, it would overflow around the groove. We tried flipping it over every minute and got slightly better results, but still not even close to a perfect sphere.
I guess you can't expect perfection when the product is so cheap. Hoping to find that someone else had better results.

I got one of these for Christmas and just got to try it tonight. I found I had to put a little more batter in the wells than the booklet said to, and after 6 minutes used a fork to tug one edge and they popped right out. I started each batch with a spritz of PAM, but after a couple of batches that wasn't even necessary. A few overflowed and I did have to use a kitchen scissor to trim some of the edges smooth but perfect cake balls. About 40 of them from a single box of mix. I melted frosting and dipped them but that didn't work very well (too heavy) so I'm gonna get some chocolate melt in the morning and try that. YUM!
