Answer:
this size usually does require a permit ,, check with your building inspector or towns website .. quite often it will list the largest size without a permit in square feet. and also how far it needs to be from the property line

Hello sasha and thank you for your question.
You can find the pertinent information by checking out your local codes online; search your local city and/or county website under “building permit office.” You can also review other resources by searching on your state / city/ county through this resource: http://www.reedconstructiondata.com/building-codes/.
Best wishes on your project.

Answer:
As long as the slab is exactly 10' x 16' you will not need wood for a floor. Bottom wall plates are untreated lumber so a sill seal should be applied to the surface of the concrete before standing up walls.

1) Can this be assembled on a cement foundation?
2) Are separate plans available for a cement foundation (the municipality that I live in requires a set of foundation plans for approval)?

Thank you so much

Answer:
Yes, the Cambridge can be assembled on a cement slab. Make sure you do not pour a slab larger than 10'x16'. Please check with a cement contractor in your area for specifications on how your foundation must be built. Requirements vary greatly across the country.
