The room has an irregular shape with five walls, but the whole project only took a couple of hours for measuring and cutting. Padded floor makes for a great playroom, exercise room, etc. For a home gym, we've had great luck with Wonder Mat mats, which are a bit thicker and have proved to be super durable. But the Travertine look of the trafficmaster mats is pretty classy if you'll be putting these mats in room you'll be looking at all day. Read Less

Howdy Lookingforgymflooring,
The best plan would be to first lay out the tiles to get a good plan. Here is a link to step by step help:

i want to link many 2' x2' squares together - to cover larger areas of a laundry and utility room. Do the end pieces allow you to NOT create a corner ?
If so, is this done by manually slicing the corners off ?

According to product description, "Multiple sets can be combined together for even greater floor coverage." So it appears, yes. I can't imagine they wouldn't have a way to do this - assumedly by not using the end pieces until the last tile in each direction.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good cushion for utility area This flooring is great. This flooring is so easy to put together, looks good and really comfortable for frequently used area, like in front of the washer and dryer. I am headed back to the store to buy more. October 31, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by foam tiles These foam tiles are fabulous in our basement. The color is great, don't know why they don't make all foam tiles in colors like these. Looks like regular flooring until you walk on it. My two issues with them are: they are a little more slippery that other foam mats, and that the mats do not always fit exactly with mats of the same brand. June 16, 2015
