Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1.5 Ton Scissor jack This jack is kept in car for emergency use . Rating above is for roadside use only. Jack is NOT suitable for general home garage operations. It is compact and good for my BMW 328 which has very low clearance. Lowest height of jack is 3 1/2". When starting the raise, the opposite end of the jack handle must be inserted and reinserted like a wrench . Possible to crank the handle in the usual way after the car is up a few inches assuming that you have eaten your Wheaties that morning or you are being bitten by mosquitos. A little oil on the screw and bearing helps some.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An Economy Choice Competing products are no doubt superior to this one. A strange deficiency was in the connection of the crank to the hole in the end of the screw that the crank turns: the connection BINDS if the axis of the crank is not perfectly aligned with the axis of the screw. This is especially hard to attain when the jack is collapsed (low, starting out), when leverage is worst (on ANY such jack). If you intend frequent use of your jack, I'd suggest you spend more, and get better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scissor Jack This jack was a big disapointment. The short handle and lack of leverage makes it extremely difficult to use. The machanical advantage is so poor few non-steroid using people would actually be able to raise a vehicle enough to change a tire with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD PRICE, EXCELLENT PRODUCT! THE JACKS WERE USED AS STABILIZERS ON CONCESSION TRAILERS. THEY ARE WELL CONSTRUCTED AND RISE QUICKLY. GLAD WE FOUND THEM.
