Customer Questions & Answers

Where is an adjustment to slow the speed when letting my floor jack down. When you turn the handle, it drops too fast.

Asked by: Fireboots48
On a normal jack, twisting the handle slightly counterclockwise will lower the car. The more you open the handle the faster the car will lower. This jack does not work that way. It struggles to get the car up and the slightest twist counterclockwise will drop the car on you. Use extreme caution as this jack is poorly designed and dangerous.

how do you lower the Big Red Vehicle Jacks 3.5-Ton Floor Jack T83502

I can not figure out how to lower the Big Red Vehicle Jacks 3.5-Ton Floor Jack T83502? I need help
Asked by: Golfman01
If you can keep the handle attached to the jack, twist the black handle counter clockwise to lower. Twist the handle clockwise to tighten and raise a vehicle. Always use jacks because this jack cannot sustain a lift and will lower a vehicle, while you are trying to raise it. Put floor jacks under the vehicle you are working on as soon as it is raised high enough. Caution - this jack is dangerous.

Is the handle removable?

I want to ensure it will fit in the back of a Ford F150 that has a bed cover.
Asked by: Peaches
The handle removes easily by twisting the small silver knob at the base, counter clockwise. You will have more trouble keeping the handle attached to the jack, as it falls off regularly, especially during use.

3.5-Ton Steel Floor Jack is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 25.

Jack was leaking hydraulic fluid out of the box. Tightened everything, added fluid. Jack handle and foot pedal fall off repeatedly. Foot pedal doesn't allow jack to slide under lower cars and foot pedal doesn't always work. Cannot remove foot pedal because retaining bolt is broken in place and would have to be drilled out. Jack handle finally broke completely off when pot metal parts broke apart trying to lift a 2009 Buick Enclave. Never lifted anything heavier than my wife's Enclave. This is the worst jack I have ever owned and the worst jack I have ever used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very heavy duty Wanted a floor jack that would not break the bank but easily and safely lift my excursion. After a lot of online searching and not being impressed with the reviews I found this one and am very happy with it. It's very well built, extremely heavy and reminds me of the ones that were made when I was a kid. Nothing about this one seems "cheap". Works very well, smooth operation and a low enough starting point. The foot pedal is a nice extra. Overall I'm thrilled with it and I feel like it's an incredible value for the money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Floor Jack Great jack for the price, I especially like the quick lift feature since most of my car's are SUV's. This is the second time I purchased the same one, no fault with the jack. My brother-in-law borrowed my first and tried to lift his RV with it. Don't try to lift 5+ tons with a 3.5 ton jack.
