Mine didn't come with holes pre-drilled for the faucet. Is this by design or did I get a defective/unfinished unit?

Answer:
No pre-drilled holes and no knockouts. However, there are 5 drill points on the bottom - one center, two 4 inch apart, two 8 inch apart. That makes it much easier to drill only the holes you need as well as to start and to position them correctly. Also it gives you a chance to drill the holes off center if you like it better that way.

Answer:
No, you must cut the holes for your faucet. A 1" hole saw (25 mm) like the Milwaukee Model # 49-56-9662 works great.

It should have knock-outs for the faucet. Of not, drill the holes, they only have to be as big as your pipe. A step drill would work nicely....Bob

Answer:
No, they allow you to put the faucet where you want or need it. This sink is sold in the stores without a faucet so if the holes were predrilled it would limit your choices for a faucet. It was not difficult to drill the holes, it's plastic not stone.

My didn't have holes either. I think they make a standard tub and put the faucet kit in the box if you paid for it. This way they can stock only one type of tub. That's just what I think.

specs say this sink is 12.5 deep--is that correct? (seems like it would be deeper).

The depth is closer to 13". It looks deeper because there is a 2" lip around the base of the sink.

Answer:
It doesn't matter how long the legs are as they stick up into the base of the sink, and the overall height of the unit is 34", approx. kitchen cabinet height. The sink is 12 1/2" deep, so the legs are approx. 21 1/2" long. I built a cabinet for mine for even a higher height for dog washing.

Is there a way to extend the 24" hose on the faucet? Or, is it better to just get a faucet that has a hose threading on the nozzle?

I am sure it is possible, but I think the easier solution would be to get a different faucet. Model # 28F is the tub without a faucet. , though there isn't much price difference.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 329 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this tub! Great size and lightweight. My plumbers drilled seamless holes to fit the sprayer/faucet (which is kind of flimsy) and had the unit installed within the hour. These sinks sure aren't made like they used to be, but I plan to purchase a second one to sit right beside it. Twin tubs! April 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice sink, OK faucet The sink is of good quality and was fairly easy to install. My only complait is that the faucets holes had to be cut. As it was a package, you would think that the holes for the faucet would have been pre-drilled...luckily I had the necessary hole saws to cut them. The faucet isn't the highest quality (plated plastic) and the hose doesn't retract by itself and has to be guided into the neck, but it works great for my purposes. After shopping around at other home improvement stores, this package offered the best value. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Basement Sink Upgrade The installation required the removal of the old sink and replacement of a pipe or two, so I had the work done by a plumber. Therefore, I cannot comment on the ease of installation. However, the sink works fine in every way. It is a little light of weight, but that has not yet proven to be a problem. The size is just right. Delivery was almost a week before I was expecting it. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Utility Tub This is going to be used as part of an outdoor kitchen. I found that I could attach a flexible hose to drain water to yard. It is ideal for cleaning up after grilling and cooking with all the cast iron pans and pots. It will also come in handy when making sausage to clean up grinder, stuffer and all the dirty lugs. I did brace the legs to prevent legs from spreading when moving sink around. Plus I installed self-tapping screw to keep legs from coming loose. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Huge Utility Tub, Nice Features This kit came with everything needed to tie this tub in to an existing drain pipe and existing hot/cold water supply. The included pull-out faucet works nicely in stream and spray modes, great for washing odd-shaped, awkward, large items (like ... dogs, for example). The tub is absolutely huge, which was what I wanted. Everything feels solid and sturdy so far. I am very happy with this purchase. April 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice wash tub in its price range! The tub was fairly easy to assemble. I took my time and finished it in less than an hour. I thought the legs assembly, although adequate, could have been a little nicer. The instructions were ok. I could have used a little more detail in a couple of the steps (drain pipe & faucet assemblies) and larger illustrations/magnified images would have helped too. Being mechanically minded helped me to understand with the minimal instructional verbiage. Fortunately, this new tub was replacing an older/larger sink tub and I was able to use all of the existing plumbing/water supply. I purchased a copper tube cutter and some push-on connectors/adapters from The Home Depot so I could adapt the hot/cold water supply lines to the new set up. I also needed some plumber's putty on the PVC drain connection to the existing metal drain pipe to keep it from leaking. The faucet, as expected, was pretty low quality, but THD had a special where the Utilatub with & w/o the faucet were the same price. We don't use the faucet a lot so if it lasts a while we can replace it with a nicer one later. Also, since I had to set the tub directly against the wall (plumbing in the way) I had to drill 2 holes in the back shelf for the water lines to connect under neath. I used (2) 30 inch length of 1/2 inch Pex tubing to join the existing copper lines to the faucet lines. The back shelf (that supports the faucet) flexes a little when we use the faucet. It would have been nice to have it supported better under neath. But it's ok. The adjustable feet are nice since our basement floor is sloped toward the floor drain in the center of the room. Overall, i like the tub. But I'm glad I didn't pay any more than I did. The value and quality were an ok match. December 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheapest faucet ever made!!!!!! We purchased this double wash tub to replace an old single one. We no more than hooked it up and the sprayer hose broke. I called the manufacturer. When I told them what happened they knew right off what I was talking about and said they would send a whole new faucet out. The way the lady talked on the phone I got the idea they've had a lot of this problem. Now one year later the faucet has broken in the same place again. REALLY!!!! Maybe you should make a quality product. I don't mind paying a little more if it means it's not going to break every year and spray water all over my new basement floors and walls. Thanks A Lot!!!!!! March 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tub (if you have the space) Took my brother-in-law and myself to have it up and running. (The plumbing already existed.) May 3, 2016
