With the broom parallel to the pole, it is 34.5” at its shortest and extends to 46”. Compared to the 54” Avalanche that I also have, which is cheaper, it’s not as good, imo, for several reasons. It doesn’t extend as long, does not have the wide squeegee on the back side of the broom, the button to pivot the broom is harder to push with gloves on, and the brush does not stand away from the pole enough so that when used with the brush parallel to the pole, the pole and scraper end have to be held too close to the car to get the brush to make contact the way it should.
The pole telescopes by turning the pole, which allows to set the length anywhere you want. That’s nice compared to the Avalanche which has 4 set length notches, but is easier to adjust with a large button.
The brush is thick.
The bristles are softer that the Avalanche bristles so I might not fear brushing the paint with these, but they won’t last as long.
Ultimately I prefer the Avalanche 54” over this.

I waited on the first snow where I live; While the telescoping arm is good to reach further on the vehicle from one side, the arm does not tighten well. Depending on the direction you are sweeping with the brush end, the swivel will loosen. The scrapper end is great; it has a sturdy hard plastic that withstands ice on the windshield for those times you can't wait to have the heater in your vehicle loosen the ice. On average it is a good product but there should be more time invested to address the the untightening of the telescoping arm, perhaps click buttons is better.

I have an SUV and I like to get as much snow off of it as possible before taking on the roads. This deluxe version of an ice scraper telescopes out far enough for me to reach hard to get at areas on the roof to clear off the snow. It also has a brush head that swivels and locks at a 90 degree angle so you can push or pull the snow off the hood easier. The ice scraper business end is thick strong plastic that looks like it can handle any ice or snow build up.
I hate winter, but having the right tools to fight back at it helps. This is a nice, heavy duty snow and ice remover.

350 characters to describe a 42 inch telescoping swivel snow brush and ice scraper...hmmm. It does telescope, the snow brush does swivel 90 degrees. The extension is easy to lock and adjust. The handle is comfortable to use. The unit I received in the mail was not an orange unit like the picture, it was blue. I don't live in a heavy snow area, but the orange would be easier to see/find.

Our snow brushes have all worn out, and it was time to replace them.
This snow brush and ice scraper is one of the best ones I've found.
I love how the length of this brush can be adjusted from about 18" out to 45". Having this feature allows it to be adjusted for the length of the car roof with ease.
The foam handle makes it easy to hold in your hand, and not have it slip around, had the handle just been plain metal.
The brush can be rotated to work like a shovel. This feature is absolutely great for clearing the snow from the car's roof with ease.
Overall, one would think a snow brush is just another snow brush but.....Anyone who's used a snow brush knows that the quality vary's quite a bit. There are some really cheap one's out there, and this is by no means one of them.
This brush is awesome, and highly recommended.

I have 2 of them and have the same problem with both. When it gets cold the aluminium shrinks and the locking mechanisim on the sliide will not work.
