Asked by: GC
Yes, cut it with scissors to any size or shape. It is molded, not wove, so it will not unravel.

Attaching to railings?

How do I attach to round railings? Will string or wiring keep it up? (I don't want it flying off.)

Plastic "zip-ties" worked for me.

Can this net be cut to size a smaller tree? Can a squirrel be able to bite a hole into this net? Is strong enough against squirrel?

Asked by: George
You can cut it to any size. It would probably stop a squirrel unless he chewed a hole in the netting. It keeps my chickens out of my veg.

100 ft. x 14 ft. Standard Bird Netting is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS IS FOR THE BIRDS !!! I am the facilities manager for a large company that has about 50 tractor trailer "dock doors". In the summer we like to keep some of the dock doors open to let in fresh air, but we were having problems with birds flying in and out of the building through these dock doors. We looked into buying and having installed a second overhead door made of screen, but this would have been a major expense so instead we bought rolls of the bird netting and cut to size of the door. We then installed rods on the top of the doorway and hung the netting on the rods using "note book binder rings" we also put up a few small cup hooks on either side so that we could pull snug. This was nothing more than trial an error, but it worked out great ! When a tractor trailer does back into a dock, we simply slide the netting over on the rod, similar to a shower curtain. It was very easy to install and the best part is we solved the problem at a minimal cost and a fraction of the cost of installing overhead screen doors.

This is a great price for a product far superior to what you can get in the store. It is heavier weight than the 7' wide rolls (I think they are 50' long) so it does not tear easily. I am going on my third season with this as row covers in my veg beds. I had to toss the lighter weight stuff after one year (am I'm replacing it with this stuff). To keep it from tearing when I put the PVC clips on, I placed a small piece of 6mil. plastic between the clip and the netting. That also makes it easier to remove the clip. Because this is 14' wide, and folded on the roll, it is easy to cut in half, or quarters, length-wise for 3.5' or 7' wide fabric, so a little goes a long way as row covers. Another advantage of this material over the lighter weight stuff is that the lighter bird netting is very fine and has trapped, and unfortunately killed, a couple of small birds. This stuff does not seem to ensnare them, as it is stiffer and does not stick to them up if they hit it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NO NO NO NO Bought this for blueberries. Right off the roll it grabbed onto everything in sight, my feet, the grass, weeds, a stray bunny. I tried draping it over the blueberries and it immediately grabbed onto the leaves and bunches of berries. Trying to adjust it ripped bundles of berries and leaf clusters right off. If you have a full bottle of wine for after, try first setting up a full support to drape it over so it won't touch the plants. Start with 2 very calm - sedated preferably - people to hold the netting, and a spotter or 3 to keep it free from grass, weeds, feet, trees, buildings etc in the vicinity while a few more helpers position it on the support. Have bribes ready to enforce calm - you'll need them. I rolled it back up complete with grass plants and blueberry twigs, vowing to plant more berries and share.
