The best feature of this feeder is the convertible feeding ports. You can turn them so that the port is wide open for all finches but wait! You can rotate the ports so that you can fill this feeder with thistle seed for Gold Finches.
The plastic is softer than most tube feeders and it tends to take in water. So until I get a dome cover to protect from rain and snow, I turn the ports to thistle so less water intrudes during a storm.
The top slides off easily to refill and it holds about 5 cups of "no waste" seed. IF I were looking for a con I'd have to say that it would be a better feeder without the base because water does leach in and it gets moldy.

First out of the shipping box, one of the bird perch dispenser window is missing on the feeding tube. The entire tube feeder is really light. There is no weight to it, which is doubtful that it will do well outdoor in windy condition. The feeding tube itself is of flimsy plastic; there seems little strength or stiffness to the tube. Everything snaps together with integral plastic tabs. I did not deploy this feeder for further testing and I am not recommending this product. It is of poor quality and quality control.

Cool bird feeder, did have an issue with when one of the feeder ports fell off and struggled to get it back one. After a little tweaking, I did manage to correctly attached the feeding port and then off to the yard to hang the feeder. Nice quality overall, but the feeder ports could have been a little larger and snap in so they have a sturdier sound when attached.
I must say that once I place the feeder outside; there was an invasion of Finches, they were all over the feeder and I have to refill it almost everyday. No problems with the feeder ports and the birds continue to come 5-7 at a time for hours.

Nice long tube holds a good amount of bird seed or thistle. The perches turn so you can change the opening for either type of seed. Easy to fill by lifting the cap off the top. The perches are a little difficult to re-position because the tube is a very soft plastic. and once you take them out, it's hard to get them back in. I would have preferred a harder plastic as it would be sturdier.

The bottom has not and will not stay on. I've lost all the seed I've put in it several times.

The bird feeder works fine for the 1st 3 weeks after we hanged in a tree branch. But, once the squirels found it, they immediate break the feeder by chewing off (violently) the green opening areas where the birds get their food. The plastic tube is just too thin on this product.

Was falling apart before I got the bird food into it. Spend the extra few bucks, get a better made one.
