Barely two months after purchase, the screw holding the unit together came apart and the birdfeeder collapsed to the ground and broke into several pieces. Found all 4 pieces of the hook and bolt mechanism spread across the ground. Obviously poor quality / workmanship of product!

Too bad this wasn't actually made out of copper (it's plastic)... squirrels chewed a fist sized hole in the top. I'm going to try to salvage it somehow.
Also, seeds get stuck in the part on the bottom between the base and tubes, causing them to sprout. I had a heck of a time cleaning that out - and it's not even all out.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by joeh It's everything that I expected
This is a replacement for the same feeder I bought years ago, but it was silver in color rather that copper color. The previous one reached a point where the parts were dried out and cracking. Another review said that they believed the copper color seemed to repel birds, but my birds don't have a problem with the color since I have to refill it every 4 days or so. They love it. It's easy to fill and clean and the copper color is more attractive than the previous feeder.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bill worst bird feeder i ever had
We are very unhappy with the bird feeder. After having filled with seed it only hung for one week. It let loose from the screw holding it together on top. It fell to the ground and two of the tubes broke. After having spent over $50, it is beyond repair. We are taking it to our local Home Depot to get a refund. (Hopefully)

Yes as the old expression goes, this feeder is for the birds! And that's not in a good way. The feeder replaced a nice feeder that broke and attracted tons of birds. But during the two weeks I had this feeder in the same identical place during the Summer it attracted NO BIRDS! Not even a fly-by.
I think the copper color scared them. By the way, the copper is actually plastic colored. It's also difficult to hang. I replaced this one with a really nice one I bought in a real bird store who stocked products that actually can attract birds. The birds returned in one day. I'd like to return the Home Depot feeder for a refund and I think I will because it's a big joke and the joke's on me.

Paid a lot of money for this feeder and it didn't hold up. The internal feeding hole shrouds that keep the bird seed from passing thru are made of plastic. They did not hold up to whatever birds have been pecking at them. Within a month, 4 of these shrouds at the feeding holes have been broken and I can't use the feeder - have to block them off or the seeds just run out. I'm really let down by the quality - these shrouds should be metal. After all, there are metal bands around the feeding holes already.

This is my second one in 12 years and the only reason why I had to buy another one is we moved to a new home, I forgot to take it. I love this feeder and I highly recommend it
