Customer Questions & Answers

does the glue inside the roach motel lure the roaches into it as bait,or does the glue only stick to roaches inside the roach motel box ?

Asked by: Jennifer
It's has areas of what appears to be something like a dark maple syrup on the non-poisonous sticky adhesive inside the trap. That's what draws the roaches, the maple syrup smell. This trap is pesticide free. It works for me all the time and starts luring in roaches within at least 4-7 days. Just make sure you know where the roaches are hiding, I keep mine in a certain area around my refrigerator because the roaches started living behind in the motor. This is all I buy now.

How can you tell if any went in

Asked by: raine
Just grab the motel and look through the window. Once roaches get in, they will be completely stuck by the glue, cannot move unless they break their legs (then their belly will be stuck by the glue again).

is this safe around cats

Asked by: Kf
These traps don't contain any pesticide, but the adhesive inside is very sticky. We recommend positioning them where your cats can't access them.

After reading all of the great reviews I thought I would give this product a try. I placed six motels in all of areas where roaches were seen before. I went out of town for four days, so I was excited yet scared to see what the motels accomplished while I was gone. I was so disappointed when I returned to my place. No roaches were captured and I ended up seeing one that same night. The motels have been in my place for a month now and I'm still seeing them frequently. This product did not work for me at all.

Move it to different place till it is full. I used it inside my garage floor near my kitchen door. Sure enough to my surprise to see it full for 2 days! wow! it is really working fast. Champ! Can see the open end to see if it is no vacancy to check in. Also, it has strong adhesive for roaches to be sticking trap. Very easy to dispose to my garage can.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Safe solution without toxic fume Recently, we just moved to a new house and discovered there are roaches in the kitchen. Before we move in, we had the place fumigated to ensure we rid of all roaches. Once we moved in, we couldn't afford to spray any harmful chemical while our children are around. Our best long term solution was to trap and kill the roaches passively without spraying. The Black Flag Roach Motel seems to be our best solution. The Roach Motel is a tiny paper box that contains bates within. When the roaches crawl in and take the bates, they will be trapped inside the sticky substance and die. After that the box can be disposed cleanly and safely without any messy chemical residue. So far, the Roach Motel has worked around clock to capture the remaining critters. We haven't seen any roaches in our kitchen. We hope after several months our place will clear. The Roach Motel is truly a safe solution for getting rid of roaches without harming ourselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These Work Great! These things work great. Down here in the South, we have Palmetto bugs (American roach) that wander in from outside during warm weather. They are kind of a pain, but the Roach Motel seems to be just the right item for them. the Roach Motel is just sticky glue that smalls good, no poison, so they are very safe to handle and smell pleasant. The Palmetto bugs seem to be enjoying their new accommodations, a few have checked in, but they have not checked out.. The picture is a bit gross but you get the idea. These work great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gotta Catch em All! Have roaches running around on your counter tops? Or maybe you've seen 1-2 running around the kitchen floor... Buy Roach Motel! This is literally the best product ever. It cost me 2 bucks. It is literally a cardboard box, sticky bug paper, and dabs of syrup....Anyway I put one on my counter top, side of the fridge, right corner of sink, and behind my oven. In ONE DAY I caught literally the whole family. I found it was the the Roach Motel I hid behind the oven that did the trick! There were 4 HUGE cockroaches , 2 or 3 mediums, and a bunch a little babies. "They checked in but never checked out"
