The mixing container shipped with the saw is 40 to 1. I would go with 40 to 1 as I have never seen a mix at 25 to 1.

Answer:
40:1 is fine. It won't hurt to have a bit more oil and have it 25:1. I usually put a bit more oil than required. Oil hurts nothing but lubricates. So, a little more of it will just help give an added protection to the engine.

I am almost certain I use 50:1 for mine. But DON'T mix it yourself. If you do then it will probably clog your carburetor which will not be under warranty. I buy the premixed at Home Depot and it seems to work great. http://www.homedepot.com/p/TruSouth-Trufuel-50-1-Pre-Oil-Mix-6525638/202532877

I would recommend you buy the premix at Home Depot (or elsewhere) and not to mix your own. Otherwise you could end up with a clogged carburetor not under warranty like I did.

Read the manual. This is a pretty standard 2 cycle mixture. You can also buy the small cans of oil that you mix with I think one gallon on gas. Ask the clerk.

Exactly what it says..40 parts gas, one part oil. Use 3.2 ounces per gallon of gas. That should do it. If you put a little bit more oil than is required or needed, that is fine. Its more lubrication, and that is what you need for those small engines. Peace

Answer:
This saw actually comes with a measuring container. You fill it up to the correct line and then add oil to the 40 to 1 line. One part oil to 40 parts gasoline. Many two stroke oil containers have a measuring device on the bottle so you can easily create a gallon of mixed gas. Make sure to use two stroke oil also. This will be clearly labeled on the container you buy.

It does not. I've only used it one time and initial startup of a dry chainsaw is never super easy. I'm hoping that my next start up experience is a bit short. Initial startup took about 8 cycles of choke, short pulls and long pull.

2-In-1 20 in. and 14 in. 45cc Gas Chainsaw Combo with Blow Molded Case is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 442.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manufacturing Defects I purchased this saw about a year ago (warranty expired) and used it only a few times. The last time, it ran poorly. I checked the fuel filter and noticed that the gas line running from the tank to the carburetor was shredded. This had to be done in manufacturing. It is a bear to replace this line. One of the bolts holding the carburetor on is cross-threaded and will likely break when it is removed. I turned it twice and it didn't loosen up. I'm not happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not last long I purchased this February 2015. I only have 2 acres, so, while I have some cutting to do, it is not a lot. I think it was December that I contacted the manufacturer, because the chain tightener had stopped working. They sent a replacement part, but then something else went wrong, and they had to send me a replacement engine. The engine they sent did not start or run well, but did work. Now (Sep 2016) it will not start at all. I have contacted discover card, because I purchased it on discover, and they double the warranty. I am hoping that I can get my money back on this purchase. I was impressed by the cutting ability -- but replacement chains have to be puchased through home depot, because they are an odd size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 strikes your out. I went though 2 of these saws. The first one lasted about 3 hours. After it died I took the cover off the air filter and noticed that the filter wasn't seated properly from the factory. After 3 hours of sucking sawdust, if gave out. Fortunately I had just purchased it and returned it for another one. The 2nd one ran for about 5 minutes. It appears to over heat and starts to bog down and seize. Unfortunately I didn't take it out of the box until over a year later after the warranty had expired. Bye bye $199. I should have just ponied uf for a Stihl in the first place. It's also an oily mess. If you leave any oil in the oiler reservoir it leaks out all over everything.

I have now used this chainsaw twice and in both instances the following has happened: Under the chainsaw in the case was a large amount of bar oil - literally a pool of it. The first time I just assumed I didn't tighten the bar oil reservoir cap tight enough, but when it happened the second time, I was somewhat concerned. I haven't figured out why this has happened or if it is normal. If it is normal or if anybody has any suggestions, please share! This is the only reason I didn't give the chainsaw a 5. Performance, ease of use and so far, reliability is excellent. I have been cutting down maple trees around my parent's house and it zips them up with ease. I am anxious to get it to my vacant property and really put it to the test!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfied customer I bought this saw after reading several dozen reviews. I didn't expect a Stihl quality saw but I have no serious complaints. The chain did stretch more than a name brand would & I knew I would need a new, better chain very soon. I expected that from reading the reviews. The saw starts with no problems as long as you follow the instructions. The only unexpected issue has been the chain brake. It accidentally engaged & wouldn't reset. I had to disassemble the saw & still couldn't fix it so I just left it off. The saw performs just fine. If you need a chainsaw several hours a week buy a Stihl but if you only need one 4 or 5 times a year like me then this is good choice.

Saw started after following the manual flawlessly. Easy to handle chainsaw. Although, the anti-vibration handle doesn't reduce vibration like it advertises.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad quality bar studs Purchased online and when I received the saw it looked pretty good. Went together easy and even started easy when following the directions. I assembled it with the 14" bar as we were just going to be cutting through branches up to 8" from a felled tree. It ran great with no issues with the chain, engine or anything else. After @ 4 hours of on and off cutting I went to put it away for the day. I decided to put the 20" bar on the saw in order put the 14" bar back under the case. When I went to take the clutch cover off after removing the bolts it was binding. At this moment I looked at the bar studs that hold the bar on the saw and they were tweaked with the rear stud bent down slightly. This happened with the 14" bar on the saw cutting through light weight willow branches.....I cant imagine cutting through Oak with the 20" bar....needless to say I returned it and bought something different.
