Product Overview

Our quality Samoan steel pool will keep your family splashing for many years. Built by one of the world's leading pool manufacturers, this pool's quality and beauty are only surpassed by its superior quality and craftsmanship. Samoan pools are made with the thickest steel of any pool in this class. This extra heavy gauge steel means less bending and warping than pools built with regular weight steel. In addition to its superior strength, it is able to withstand the rigors of freezing winters and heavy snows. Extra wide 8 in. top rails and 6 in. uprights provide a rugged structure for years of family fun. The attractive sidewall pattern combined with the decorative resin seat caps give our Samoan a deluxe upscale look. Our Samoan pool is protected from rust and corrosion with many layers of Protectorall (on the top rails and verticals) and Protectoloc (on the walls). From blazing sunlight to driving rain and snow, your pool will look virtually new for many years to come. Samoan pools are designed to assemble quickly and easily by do-it-yourselfers. Installation instructions are included with each pool. Backed by a 30 year Limited Warranty. Available in a 52 in. depth and a variety of round and oval sizes to fit your backyard.

I bought this pool. It is currently slated to be delivered in 2 days.

Now... My old pool was an Intex 18 foot round, 36" deep. Frame type bag of water pool. I installed it recessed in a pit dug about a foot deep for the pool so it would not stand so high above the yard. I did this because I didn't want it visible from the road and for aesthetics.

I've dug my pit a foot deeper now because this pool is a foot deeper. In one set of instructions that I've downloaded it shows the pool with external braces. Another set does NOT have the external braces. Am I going to be able to install this pool in my pit WITHOUT braces?

The sides of the pool will NOT touch the sides of the pit, which has at least 4 inches of sand on the bottom. The pit is well drained also. I live in the mountains and I use a heat pump to heat the water - necessary only if you actually want to swim here. Which I do. I want to get this installed properly.

Am I going to be able to install this pool in my pit without running into big problems? Is this pool compatible with my intended installation method? What say you?

Well, nobody ever answered my question. So I'm answering it.

It took THREE DAYS to build the pool with 4 workers working full time. One of the hoses had two holes. The hoses are rather flimsy. I had old hoses on hand which I was able to get to work. This was not an easy install, but it looks good. The water is too cold yet to jumb in but I have a nice heat pump busily warming the water. I hope.
I got the blanket around the sides and the solar cover. I hope to be swimming this weekend. I have to say I thought the liner would be a lot heavier. I guess time will tell whether of not this liner is up to the task.
Was it easy to build? No. It looks like it will be durable. It looks good. The top rail remains to be judged but it doesn't seem all that strong. We worked HARD to get it level and still one side is over an inch lower than the other. Other than that I think we did a good prep.
I wanted it in a pit so it would not be noticeable from the road about 100 feet away. I think that goal has been accomplished. This pool looks a LOT more "finished" than other yard pools, and a lot more substantial. The other one. a frame pool, did a good job. I expect this will do as well.
There was suposed to be a chemical kit included. I never found one. Minor disappointment. Read Less

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK with upgrades and get it installed! good buy for the money but you need some upgrates...the liner is very, very thin and the skimmer should be also replaced with a better one. overall a good start. had it installed by a pool company in 7 hours what included also hard plumbing. you need that, other wise it would leak everywhere. the hoses what come with the pool just don't fit right!!!
