Would this ladder corrode in a salt water pool? Will it work in an Intex pool with the ladder attachment to a deck?

I don't know if this stainless steel would hold up in a salt water pool. There are multiple grades of stainless steel containing different additives to increase corrosion resistance. I don't know if this stainless steel would hold up in a salt water pool. There are multiple grades of stainless steel containing different additives to increase corrosion resistance. That might require a different marine grade stainless steel. I can only tell you that in my pool (not a salt water pool) this is the second year and not a spec of rust. Very sturdy and it simply slides through two 1.5 inch holes I bored into the edge of my deck. Fits very snug, which is good but you will have to push the poles down hard to get them in all the way (and push evenly on each one) The bottom is nice and smooth so will not hurt your liner as long as the bottom step is pushed down flat on the liner when securing to deck. The steps will fill with water as well to help hold it down but mine has always stayed in place. I'm very picky and have gone through two previous ladders and this is the best one so far. Read Less

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best ladder I have owned Durable, attractive, easy to assemble, perfect for pools next to deck, no rust. This is the best pool ladder I have owned (for two years now) and I will get at least another 2-3 years out of it. The only exception is the plastic flanges that attach to the deck will crack and break within a year. I replaced them with cast aluminum ones for $10 from HD (1.5 inch diameter). July 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by In pool ladder Great ladder, but too big for my project. I have to return it but am having difficulty repacking it. The box came very torn (basically in half) and taped together. I hope Home Depot will accept it back for a refund. July 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by looks great, stainless steel only way to go I bought this pool ladder because the poles are stainless steel. Other ladders are usually aluminum and the paint will come off, believe me. Worth the extra money. Requires assembly and steps are hard to slide on poles. My previous ladder was exactly like this and it lasted 21 years. September 11, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good! Easy to install, looks good, only downfall would be the plastic steps ,although have had no issues yet! 4 of us use it frequently. July 16, 2012
