Bought both the HydroClean fill valve and the HydroRight Dual-Flush the other day. Installation was pretty simple. I was pleasantly surprised how well the new flapper mechanism seated into the old drain hole at the bottom of the tank. I will be buying another set for the other toilet soon. It's pretty easy to tell that this is going to save me money on the water bill. After reading many reviews it seems that everyone has a little different situation depending on their style of tank. For my situation, I had to extend the drain pipe because my tank is insulated to eliminate sweating therefore my tank will not hold as much water so, I had to compensate for that. Overall, I think it is a great product.

we have been using this since April 2012. installation was difficult as we had older flappers - had to replace them with new ones first. after replacing the old flappers, installation was relatively easy. took awhile to "tweak" the adjustments but it is now working efficiently. the material is made of plastic, but i think it will do. the only thing we have issues with are the buttons. we have a 2 year old in the process of potty training. she can't push the buttons hard enough to flush. if the buttons were easier, would have given a 5. but overall we are very pleased. we have 2 installed and plan on installing the 3rd one later this year.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by GarageMechanic Good Idea - Poorly Engineered!
I purchased just the 2 flush toilet kit. Attempted twice to install the base so that it didn't leak. Was not successful. No matter how much pressure I put onto the base while attaching the black rubber holder (pushing it down as far as possible), it still leaked a litttle water into the bowl. Also, while the number 2 flushed fine, that was not the case with number 1. While it did use far less water, it also failed to properly fill the toilet bowel, leaving just a very small amount of water for the next use. If it happened to be number 2, then all the waste would have been onto the area without water making a mess for cleaning. Removed and returned to HomeDepot.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SuperEse Does not Last more than a few months
Great product that works well in the beginning. The amount of water you can control is great. The problem is that after a few months, the little spring for the arm mechanism becomes weak and will not seat the valve!!! I looked at the designed and it's a good design that needs a better spring to ensure the valve closes. There needs to be a better spring to hold and ensure the valve closes! I bought this due to my autistic son is extremely rough with things and everything I've installed does not last more than a couple of months. A little more enginnering on this would make it an excellent product, but I highly recommend not buying because of the cost and having to get another valve in a few months!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SalemOR Easy DIY flush conversion kit
My old flushing system was leaking a bit, saw this replacement kit promising 30% of water saving, shower head and extra aerators, it was on sale for an Andrew Jackson with free shipping, I got one, the installation instructions was easy to follow for somebody without much experience, the kit does not require tools, the plastic looks cheap but it does the work without breaking, certainly it uses less water, but it does not flush as clean as the old basic system, as to the shower head, it was also easy to replace, only 1 aerator was found, I guess the second advertised one is the one inside the shower head, I replaced the aerator in the kitchen sink. I am satisfied in general and I would recommend it if you don't particularly care it will likely not flush liquid or solid 100% each time. It has been working over a month without problems.

I got this Hydrosmart product for replacing the inside of an old toilet. The product was easy to install, but the calibration was the most time consuming. It appears to flush well.
In addition to the toilet upgrade, the shower head looks nice and functions well. Rinsing is not a problem with it.
Unfortunately, the two aerators do not fit my faucets, but I may pass them along to someone else.
Overall, the kit offers great value!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jasmine Nice concept, but did not work for our tank
The unit itself appears to be a quality product, and I had hoped it would work as advertised for us, but that just wasn't the case. Even after multiple, multiple attempts, we could not get enough flush action to adequetly drain the bowl, and refill the tank. I'm believing the reason for this is that we just have a much older tank and toilet, than this unit is designed for. I hope it works better for you!

I've replaced toilet parts before, so it wasn't inexperience that resulted in a 2 hour install. Then, after 3 months, the tank stopped filling. I'm going back to the tried and true 20 bucks setup that allows me to set my fill level and actually works for years rather than months.
