Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Works ok but is loud and bucket never fills up I purchased this ice maker to replace a Scotsman icemaker that I had for over 20 years. I must say that the Scotsman far surpassed the performance of the Bluestone. That said, this ice maker does create ice, but it is very loud and it is not able to make a full bucket of ice before it starts melting. Also, the cubes are very small so they melt easily. Finally, the unit doesn't come with a scoop and there is no place to store one, if you have a scoop. That was a nice feature that the Scotsman had. If you have the money, buy something else. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price Pros Great price. Makes ice quickly Cons The ice cubes do not break apart from the sheet when they drop into the bin, so be sure and get a metal ice scoop. Compared with my previous machine, this one does not insulate as well. If you shut the machine off, the ice is gone in a day or so. The previous machine would hold ice for several days. The ice size feature does not work - but was not important to me. Makes a lot of noise when running. August 30, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product! If there is one thing I don't like it is being out of ice! I can say that I will never have that problem again as long as I have my ice maker!! It makes so much ice and in a QUICK amount of time. I can dump it to fill my husbands cooler in the morning and within a few hours it's full again. The #1 BEST item I have ever bought for myself. You will want to buy the pump with this it needs it. June 11, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Quit working after one year and difficult to get service $1,000 paper weight Worked when purchased, after one year stopped and having difficulty getting service so it sits broken October 5, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Froze up I have just had the icemaker for 4 days and it has already froze up and stuck in making mode on me. I got it unfrozen, but I have 90 days to return and I will let it go a few more days to see. 961.00 for an icemaker is not a little amount for personal use. October 18, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by They don't come with water pumps You have to spend another 50-70 bux for a condenser pump or else it leaks everywhere. I bought 5 of these and have had different issues everyday since they were installed. July 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by For the price, the machine is good and proud to have fresh ice. The new Bluestone replaced old 22 yr other brand . The machine is much nosier and only major complaint is the ice does not break apart and we do have to use a metal scoop to break up for use. October 4, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not as good as kitchen aid I had before but it costs considerably less Ice does not break up and half the cube is clear and half is cloudy. Noisy. If you don'twant to spend $1500+ this machine is a good option for the $900 price. March 29, 2013
