Answer:
Hello Jack,
No, you do not need to buff your floor after using the Hardwood High Gloss Polish. The Hardwood Polish will automatically have a sheen to it once you put it down.
Best regards,

THE SHINE APPLICATOR AND GENTLY SHINE. THE FLOOR LOOKS GREAT. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR I GO OVER IT AGAIN FOR A HIGH GLOSS. HAVE RECEIVED MANY COMPLIMENTS.

No, not at all. Bona products, cleaners ad polishes both are the only ones I have found to work well on my hardwood floors.

Answer:
Hello Willz,
The polish is a coating, you'll need the microfiber applicator pad to apply it; using a regular mop will leave swirls from the string mop on the floor after drying.

I have 4 year old oak engineered hardwood floors with a low shine aluminum oxide finish, and it is getting dull even after cleaning. I'd like to shine them up just a little; will this product work for that, on those types of floors?

Yes it will work and any hardwood ,but iffy on oiled hardwood ,which is not what you have. I have used it on our engineered floor that is about (1) year old and it works fine.

I don't see why not. But be aware that it may be shinier than you are used to. Take a look at the pictures I posted with my review of the product.

Hi Starider7,
Yes, this Bona Hardwood Floor Polish will work on your engineered floors, since your floor is real wood too.
The only difference between engineered and solid hardwood floors is that your floor has layers of real wood, instead of one piece (solid).

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst product ever for wood floors! This product looked freat day #1, but has ruined our wood floors. Once we started walking on it (several hours after applying) it created spots/marks all over that we are unable to clean off (cleaning too hard will actually rub the polish off too!). WORST EVER!! Now I'm at a loss how to get my beautiful floors back without having them re-sanded, etc. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!! May 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nona floorwax I bought the cleaner and didn't know there was a wax so when I went back to Home Depot and saw the wax I was estatic. This product is so easy to apply. I bought this brand because it doesn't build up on your floor. The YouTube video also recommends this brand. June 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buyer Beware I've been using the Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner on our polyurethane-coated hardwood floors for 5 years with no issues, so I decided to try the polish. It looked great at first - our floors were smooth and shiny. But after a few monthly applications, a white film formed on our floor. After weeks of scrubbing on my hands and knees and calling various flooring companies for advice, I ended up having to hire someone to come clean and buff all of our floors at the cost of $250! He advised me to the throw the polish away and never use it again, and also mentioned that a floor cleaner called Zep works just as well as Bona and is less expensive. I'll be switching brands once I run out of Bona cleaner. June 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Do not use!!! No matter how u apply this polish it will leave streaking and a milky colored residue. Check out Amazon for all the negative reviews with this product. June 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the price! For the price of this product I was expecting good or better results. I saw no difference in this product than using a $3.00 product to polish my floors. June 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not use I used this on my hard wood floors I followed the instructions to a T. at first my floors looked so nice and polished. but now I have smears from every foot print/dog print that i can not just wipe off. This ruined my floors DO NOT USE May 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Please, spare your knees and money I began using Bona floor cleaner, and had no problems. Over time I decided I wanted to add some shine to my engineered hardwood, so I went out and bought this polish. It was extremely easy to apply and looked wonderful for a few weeks until I went to clean my floors of smudges, dirt, etc. The polish began to remove in certain areas, making the floor very splotchy and clouded with gray polish residue. I tried to remove the polish by scrubbing VERY hard with the floor pad.. it was a tremendous strain on both mine and my fiances back. Desperate for help and advice, I searched google on how to get this polish removed. Mostly bona floor polish remover came up (also with terrible reviews) but I refused to buy another product from the same company that ruined my floors in the first place. So I searched deeper. A lot of sites said to scrub with warm water and vinegar or windex, in which I had neither. So I literally got on my hands and knees and began scrubbing square foot by square foot with just warm water. It took about 1.5 hours to get the polish removed, 1 hour to get the residue out of each and every crack (some still remains), and another 45 minutes to clean the streaks off from the water with Method's almond floor cleaner and a microfiber cloth. PLEASE do NOT buy this product. I threw away every single Bona product from my house today. I still have to do my foyer and I am absolutely dreading it. I honestly do not know how this product has not been pulled from the market. May 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wished I had done my research!!!! I have had used Bona floor cleaner on my floors for about 12 years. Then I saw the Bona floor polish. I wished I had never seen this product. This has ruined my floors I have tried to remove this and it will not remove. All the reviews, I have read about the floor polish remover state that it is ineffective. So i would strongly suggest that you not buy this floor polish. March 7, 2016
