Hello Jack, No, you do not need to buff your floor after using the Hardwood High Gloss Polish. The Hardwood Polish will automatically have a sheen to it once you put it down. Best regards, Bona Call Center

32 oz. High-Gloss Hardwood Floor Polish is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 178.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My floor is shiny again! I mistakenly bought Bona Floor Polish thinking it was the hardwood floor cleaner. I looked at the description more closely before thinking of returning and it says contains polyeurethane. So I decided why not give it a try. To my surprise, my dull floor came back to life again! Just as it was when it was refinished a few months ago. I think I found my new favorite thing for hardwood floors.

I had darker stranded bamboo floors installed on the entire first floor of my house. This product is and should not be used on dark floors. It is cloudy and dull. I have to strip the brand new floors. I always trusted BONA on my previous floors and I realize my fault for not reading the lengthy label, but DO NOT USE ON DARK FLOORS. Called Bona customer service and was treated very rudely and only offered the opportunity to purchase their extremely expensive polish remover to save my floors, they could care less that the product instructions only make mention in very small print to NOT USE ON DARK FLOORS.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good matte product I purchased the Bona system so I made sure to sweep and clean floors before hand. When I applied the High Gloss I loved how it looked but realized it wasn't just the "wet" look. It dried evenly but looks the same as before. I was expecting a high shiny GLOSS finish. So i like the system, and will keep using it. But I'm disappointed it doesn't give my floors that shiny look I was wanting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BEWARE Comsistent with many of the other reviews I have used Bona products to clean my wood floors for years. I am getting ready to sell the house so I decided to try the polish to add some shine to the floors. Bad idea! As you can see in the photo the floors look bad, really bad. Followed the instructions and ended up with a big mess. Hopefully there is a way to lift this off my floors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome results! I had been using the Bon floor cleaner on my 8 yard old engineered wood floors for the past 3 years with very good results but had some areas that were starting to look a bit cloudy and dull plus have accumulated the usual minor scratches, dings, boo boo's associated with daily living. Read about the Bona High Gloss Polish and decided to give it a try. Wow! Awesome results that 2 months later, still looks great! And it did indeed "fill" a lot of the scratches and minor damage so that they are hardly noticeable. Don't know why some folks have had negative results but I sure am pleased with the product.

We've been in business since 2005. I get about 3-4 calls a month from people who have used Bona polish on there floors. Here are the problems you will encounter if you use Bona polish. - uneven sheen.. glossy and dull spots - haze / residue - Bona polish cannot be recoated- new finish will not stick to bona polish- read the bottle Don't ruin your wood floors with Bona Polish- use Bona hardwood floor cleaner NOT polish

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice shine I have newer dark hardwood floors and used this polish to get rid of some of the scratches. I followed the instructions on the bottle and so far it looks great. In application you need to make sure you are applying a good amount of the polish to keep the applicator soaked. I made sure I did the sweeping motion with the grain and tried not to pull the applicator off the floor as much as possible. Before application I swept and thoroughly cleaned the floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the high gloss, not the matte finish I have a hand scraped manufactured wood floor that has a lower sheen than most floors so I initially used the matte finish. It was a lower sheen than my floor and left it looking cloudy. In addition my floor was almost exactly the same size as what the bottle said it would cover and this left some streaking as I applied some areas a little lightly trying to get it done with one bottle. This time I bought two bottles of the high gloss finish and the floor looks beautiful!
