Answer:
Hello Jack,
No, you do not need to buff your floor after using the Hardwood High Gloss Polish. The Hardwood Polish will automatically have a sheen to it once you put it down.

AFTER CLEANING, I APPLY THE POLISH AND LET DRY. AFTER 10 TO 30 MINUTES, I USE
THE SHINE APPLICATOR AND GENTLY SHINE. THE FLOOR LOOKS GREAT. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR I GO OVER IT AGAIN FOR A HIGH GLOSS. HAVE RECEIVED MANY COMPLIMENTS.

Answer:
Hello Willz,
The polish is a coating, you'll need the microfiber applicator pad to apply it; using a regular mop will leave swirls from the string mop on the floor after drying.

I have 4 year old oak engineered hardwood floors with a low shine aluminum oxide finish, and it is getting dull even after cleaning. I'd like to shine them up just a little; will this product work for that, on those types of floors?

Yes it will work and any hardwood ,but iffy on oiled hardwood ,which is not what you have. I have used it on our engineered floor that is about (1) year old and it works fine.

I don't see why not. But be aware that it may be shinier than you are used to. Take a look at the pictures I posted with my review of the product.

Hi Starider7,
Yes, this Bona Hardwood Floor Polish will work on your engineered floors, since your floor is real wood too.
The only difference between engineered and solid hardwood floors is that your floor has layers of real wood, instead of one piece (solid).

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 109 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You only get haze if... You only get haze if you're being shy with the product. I used up 3/4 of the bottle on my living room, hallway and one bedroom. Don't be shy with the polish. Pour the polish straight onto the floor in an s-motion. If you are using a "fancy mop" that sprays the product, you're going to have haze because you're not creating a thick enough layer. I swept, vacuumed and mopped the floor with a microfiber mop (damp with hot water) before applying gloss. April 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wished I had done my research!!!! I have had used Bona floor cleaner on my floors for about 12 years. Then I saw the Bona floor polish. I wished I had never seen this product. This has ruined my floors I have tried to remove this and it will not remove. All the reviews, I have read about the floor polish remover state that it is ineffective. So i would strongly suggest that you not buy this floor polish. March 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product floor look beautiful after use of this product I would recommend. May 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Caution if you didnot install your floors! We purchased this product to use on the hardwoodfloors in an existing home that we had purchased. This product caused the floors to become hazy and we hab to scrub it three times to get it up. In the fine print is a note to not use on floors that have been oiled or covered with acrylic. I did not previously own this house, so how am I supposed to onow what has been used on the floor? A bigger warning would be helpful!!! April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by do not buy lasts for maybe a week lifts off when a spill occurs, might be worth 5 dollars but skip it at this price, you'll be sorry, using directions and their applicator the finish looked sub par. April 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great Just had hardwood floors refinished. The company that did it recommend Bona for cleaning and said not to use water. After 6 months of heavy traffic the floor was really dull. Tried Bona polish and it worked great. My floors have never looked so good. I've been using for over a year now and every time the floor looks new. I don't think I'll have to refinish the floor as soon as before. I love it. February 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best The best for hardwood floors, bar none. Buy with confidence. March 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The good, the bad, and the ugly I had been buying Bona cleaning product for a long time. The floor needed a refresher. THE GOOD: At first this product appears to provide an outstanding result nice shine cleans up floor and it looks great. THE BAD: If you fail to meticulously clean the floor each time you apply a new coat of the Hardwood floor polish, the debris becomes embedded in the product. Once you decide it is bad enough that you need to remove it and start over you find out that Bona has a product to perform the removal. THE UGLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: It is difficult to use and is inconsistent. In short it is a waste of money and time. Go straight to sanding the floor. Never use this product. December 21, 2015
