Customer Questions & Answers

How much does it weigh?

Thank you. Happy New Year.
Asked by: Excitedtousein2015
I'd guess it weighs about 35 pounds when filled with lava rocks.

We removed the lava rock completely and replaced it with 25 lbs of 1/2" fire glass.

Can the lava rocks be changed out to the more glass looking ones?

Asked by: Okemos14
I bought 18 lbs. of half-inch (very pretty) glass rocks, but for the large pit of this table, it only went up to the *bottom* of the burner. (See picture.) I bought another 18 lbs. and it seems perfect now as it burns next to me. (See other picture.) Note: Propane is heavier than air, so covering it too much might cause some unexpected results. I might (after it cools down overnight) scoop some stones out to see what happens. By the way, if in San Diego, San Diego Fire Glass keeps a stock of stones and glass, and has a (small) showroom. Check it out!

Customer Reviews

Titan 34 in. Square Steel Propane Fire Pit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fire pit/table Overall pleased with the fire pit. I added medium sizes glass rock instead of the lava rock. I also added a 34" x 34" piece of glass on top of it to use as a table when the fire pit is not on. I'm happy with the size of the flame unlike some of the other reviews. I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic fire pit This is a fantastic fire pit. The height and design is very attractive. The tank has to sit away from the pit connected by a black hose and not in the base BUT this allows the overall height to be much lower than the designs where the tank is enclosed in the base. There is a very nice tank box in a similar finish that you can purchase to hide the tank away in a corner or behind chairs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product for the Price I had been looking for a suitable gas table fire pit. But prices were greater than $1,000. Wife found this at Home Depot. Bought and had it up and running in 30 minutes or less. Enjoyed our dinner and wine by the warmth of the fire. Granted, if you look too close you will see why it is only priced at $179 and not much more. I think it does what is advertised and does it well. Heat output was sufficient when sitting close. It provides us with a another reason to sit outdoors after the sun goes down. And it doesn't look bad, the color is good and I think it will weather well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dollar for dollar one of the best buys on the market.. I researched propane fire pits online since last winter. There are a lot of nice products out there on the market, but many of them are so expensive. When I found the TITAN 34 IN. SQUARE STEEL PROPANE FIRE PIT for under $200 I knew it was the one for me. Assembly was about 10 minutes or less and it lit right up. No fanning the fire to keep it going, or mess to clean up afterward, just a nice clean flame with great heat. I believe they have this pit rated at 40,000-50,000 Btu's. Most house furnaces are around 80,000 Btu's. The family and I have enjoyed many evenings sitting around the fire pit visiting. From a consumers view I would recommend to family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fire Pit I was researching fire pits online for awhile for my front porch and ended up buying this fire pit last night. It was very simple to put together, only took about 20 minutes. It is a simple design but looks good. My favorite part about it and the reason I went with this one is because the heat output was higher than most fire pits in this price range (50,000). It is definitely a good amount of heat. The only downfall, if there is one, would be that the propane tank is housed outside the unit, although the hose is long enough to be able to hide it away. Also I will be replacing the lava rock with fire pit glass to make it prettier. Other than that, it is a great buy, and I would recommend this fire pit to anyone who doesn't want to break the bank on a fire pit but wants to enjoy a cool evening in comfort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price. This works as advertised. Easy to assemble. I did purchase an extension to the gas line to get the tank out of view when in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inexpensive at twice the price! I've looked for weeks at propane fire pits, planning on getting us(myself) one for Christmas. I saw this one online after looking at over 2 dozen...and said THIS IS WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR! And at an excellent price too. (purchased on sale for $89 ea.) I like that it took me all of 15 minutes to set it up too. I had a fire going in it in another 5 after putting in lava rock. The unit is light enough to move from front to back patio by 2 "old folks". Did I mention I bought 2 units! At this price it was like getting 2 for the price of 1!!!! I have one at my home and one at my "fish shack" on Whidbey Island.

We have a 10 x 12 canopy and we use the firepit under it with no problem. We changed out the included lava rocks with the fire glass sold online at Home Depot. This makes it much nicer and kind of classier. However, the fire glass has made it a bit more difficult to light.
