How much does it weigh?

Thank you. Happy New Year.
Asked by: Excitedtousein2015
I'd guess it weighs about 35 pounds when filled with lava rocks.

We removed the lava rock completely and replaced it with 25 lbs of 1/2" fire glass.

Can the lava rocks be changed out to the more glass looking ones?

Asked by: Okemos14
I bought 18 lbs. of half-inch (very pretty) glass rocks, but for the large pit of this table, it only went up to the *bottom* of the burner. (See picture.) I bought another 18 lbs. and it seems perfect now as it burns next to me. (See other picture.) Note: Propane is heavier than air, so covering it too much might cause some unexpected results. I might (after it cools down overnight) scoop some stones out to see what happens. By the way, if in San Diego, San Diego Fire Glass keeps a stock of stones and glass, and has a (small) showroom. Check it out!

We have a 10 x 12 canopy and we use the firepit under it with no problem. We changed out the included lava rocks with the fire glass sold online at Home Depot. This makes it much nicer and kind of classier. However, the fire glass has made it a bit more difficult to light.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I love this little firepit. Especially for the price. Set up was easy, and ready to go within 30 minutes. I have yet to get the igniter to work, but I just use a barbecue lighter while holding in the knob. Which is just as simple. It does have a small ding on the side of the fire pit, but barely noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Propane Fire Pit I've had this fire pit for month now and enjoy it very much. It is sturdy, goes together very easily and is easy to operate. It looks nice and is the right size for use under my open patio. Would recommend to anyone in the market for a propane fire pit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful I would have given it 4 stars but for whatever reason the pilot or ring of fire must be manually lit tho it's suppose to light once on like a gas stove

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value. Looks good. Warm. Built-in piezoelectric igniter for easy lighting. PROS: * Looks good. * Built-in piezoelectric starter eliminates the need for matches or lighters. * Built-in thermocouple prevents gas-flow if there is no flame. * Lights easily (if you keep the knob depressed until flame is established & thermocouple is warmed). * Provides nice warmth & attractive, adjustable fire. * Easy to assemble. It took me 35 minutes. * Doesn't get so hot that you have to worry about using it under a most patio roofs. * The Included lava rocks looks good. (I like it better than fire-glass for our patio decor.) * Inexpensive. Great value. * Vinyl cover (tan colored) protects the fire pit from rain, etc. when not in use. CONS: * Burner bar is circular so the flame is kinda circular, rather than throughout square basin. * I'm worried that the paint for the faux-oil-rubbed bronze finish will eventually get scratched. I've only owned the Titan fire pit for a week but so far I'm very happy with it. Some reviewers said that they had trouble starting it, and I did too until I read the instructions. You must depress the knob, turn it counterclockwise until it clicks (which creates a piezoelectric spark that ignites the propane) AND THEN YOU MUST KEEP THE KNOB DEPRESSED (~4 seconds) until the flame is established (and the safety-enhancing thermocouple has warmed enough to permit propane gas to flow). If you don't hold in the knob to warm-up the thermocouple, then the initial flame will instantly go out. It may be worth noting that the unit includes a vinyl cover for the fire-pit (to protect it from rain, etc.) but there is no cover for the propane tank. (My tank is hidden behind a love seat.) There is a steel base for a standard 5-gallon propane tank to give the tank stability so that it doesn't get knocked over. I have no need for that propane tank base and I didn't bother even trying to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fire pit/table Overall pleased with the fire pit. I added medium sizes glass rock instead of the lava rock. I also added a 34" x 34" piece of glass on top of it to use as a table when the fire pit is not on. I'm happy with the size of the flame unlike some of the other reviews. I would recommend.
