Customer Questions & Answers

Can these be kept indoors?

I would like to know if I can keep these in my home, and if they will continue to produce fruit (in this case, tomatoes) and if they require any specialized fertilizer, seeing as they are not organic. Also, how large do the tomatoes typically grow? I will be moving to upstate new york and, well, tomatoes don't really fair well in the winter.

Customer Reviews

4.5 in. Heinz Classic Heirloom Tomato is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy plant, tasty tomatoes I put this plant outside in 5 gal bucket on May 10th. It has bushy growing habit with deep green large leaves. We had our first ripe fruit on 4th of July. Taste is fresh and balanced, skin bright red and thin. The plant has currently around 20 large green tomatoes on and producing more blosoms. No issues whatsoever despite cold and hot weather spells. Growing zone 6.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Growing nicely in a chilly May Planted 3 Heinz Classic Heirlooms April 30th, and they've been growing strongly during a chilly May with below normal temperatures. In past years, this has been the most productive performer in my Long Island, NY garden.
