Product Overview

Our Bonnie Roma is a classic paste tomato regarded for its use in sauces and stews. Roma produces a large harvest of thick-walled, meaty, egg-shaped tomatoes about 3 in. long and with few seeds. This tomato is not juicy. Instead, the bright red flesh is thick and drier so that it will cook down into a thick sauce. Cooking or roasting intensifies flavor, too. If you can or preserve tomatoes, make your own spaghetti sauce, or like to chop a tomato into an omelet, this is a great choice. The compact, determinate vines are hearty producers for small spaces. Plant arrives in a biodegradable pot with a well-established root system and hardened off for easy transplanting in the garden.
  • A great choice for paste, canning, sauces
  • Plant spacing: 36 in. apart in conventional rows, 24 in. to 30 in. in intensive gardens or 1 plant per 18 in. - 24 in. container
  • Resistant to verticillium wilt (V) and fusarium wilt (F)
  • Ships in a 4 in. plant-able, biodegradable pot by jiffy

She called me a few weeks later to apologize for stealing my tomatoes and eatting them while i was away. She said they were the best tasting tomatoes she EVER had!! Made great sauce also. Definitely planting these again this year!!!
