Purchased this tub from Home Depot about 7 years ago, installed it, and within a year it started to rust and the tub floor began to sink. We installed it according to directions, used the recommended non-abrasive cleaner, and tried to use touch-up porcelain paint to patch it up once the rust started appearing. We attempted to hide the rust by placing a bath tub mat over the floor of the tub so that family and guests would not be grossed out by the rust. Finally, enough was enough. We ripped out the tile and cement backer board and tin rust bucket of a tub no longer under warranty, and replaced it with a Lyons Linear Acrylic Fiberglass tub. We are happy with our new tub. Lesson learned: do not waste your money on a cheap steel, "porcelain paint" tub. Suggest: buy a traditional cast iron or acrylic fiberglass tub.

I bought this tub for the color (trying to match the other fixtures currently in place) and good price. It has held up well. The non-slip bottom is easy to clean, and also keeps you from slipping; which is great since my mother lives with us. I would buy this tub again.

Noticed rust stains on the bottom and a dent on the side which now you can see the metal. Of course this all happened after I installed the tub:

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dave RUST ON TUB WITH NO USE
Bought this tub in july, and finished the renovation in november. After ZERO use the tub has developed small rust spots ALL over the bottom and sides. NEVER buy from Bootz or any other brand that does not warranty their products. The worst part, this was a REPLACEMENT of the first tub. The first one had chipping paint all along the corners.

We purchased this for one of our rental units and usually you put the tub in after you've completed demo, which is what we did. However once we finished we discovered after 2 months that there was rust coming from the bottom of this tub. Pay the extra $50 and get the level above this one.

This bathtub has been painted with a cheap paint. First time you clean it, the paint will come off. I am in the process of taking this matter up with Home Depot
