My space is 58.5" from drywall to drywall. The tub width is 60". Is there a way to reduce the size to make it fit?
Asked by: Jeff
Yes. You need to cut away the drywall and TA-DA... you'll have a 60" opening.

There was no leveling pad in the box and the bottom sits a couple of inches above the ground. Am I missing something?

Asked by: Laura
on the steel tub you need to install a rail on the back wall for the tub to rest on. the skirt will support the front

Asked by: MAILMAN
The width (side-to-side) is 60 inches. The DEPTH (front-to-back) is 30 inches. With all due respect to the Bootz reply, the only way that the width of this tub would be 30 inches is if the regular entry or exit was from one of the ends of the tub.

Customer Reviews

Aloha 5 ft. Right Hand Drain Soaking Tub in White is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from An exercise in frustation I read the mixed reviews and quickly inspected at the store before purchase. There were a bunch of open ones with chipped porcelain & other damage. Very flimsy packaging. I got it home and apparently didn't look close enough, there was a around 6 inch spot where the finish wasn't applied thick enough and you could see through to the black steel. Would surely rust through in no time. Have to haul back. If you are thinking about be sure to bring a flashlight and thoroughly inspect at store. A pain to have to rip open cardboard but better to discover damage at store before you buy. Will try another brand if can't find an acceptable one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complete garbage. this is the third Bootz tub I've bought against my better judgement for rental properties. Each time there have been major defects despite the box looking perfect. This last one I opened up and examine quickly at the store but of course I couldn't see the bottom corner until I got it to the house and fully unboxed it. I'm absolutely disgusted once again. extremely thin porcelain that is chipped in several very visible places. In one of the photos you can see how extremely thin it is, you can barely feel the scratch but that is bare metal showing which will undoubtedly rust shortly after use. the bottom corner is fully devoid porcelain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great economical replacement tub Replaced a old cast iron monster with this tub. I am very pleased with the results having used it for over 6 months now. Cleaning is a breeze. Just be sure to use the recomended products and you will get no staining on the non slip surface. Also a install tip. Before you set the tub wrap and stuff all the sides with insulation such as Owens Corning pink fiberglass. This not only will keep the heat in when you fill it with water but also makes the tub super quiet so you don't get the noise of the steel. Makes it sound like a heavy cast iron tub. I strongly recommend this tip. You'll be glad you did it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product, tub began rusting immediately I bought this tub thinking it would meet my needs. It began rusting immediately and the finish began to crack within 2 months.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for The tub has a nice finish and is very easy to handle and install with 1 person. The only thing I didn't like was the 1/2" downward crown in the part that sits on the stringer board in back, causing shims to be required. I set a level on it and the level touches the corners but has a 1/2" gap in the middle. This means the tub is resting on the middle and the corners rock when weight is applied to the tub. Shims solved it but it would've been nice to not have to do that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok tub, light and cheap, but not white and some pinholes This tub was light and easy to install. I did not have the issue with the back ledge being bowed... mine was fine, and tiling to it was straightforward. My 2 issues: 1) it is halfway between white and bone... looks bad next to other white fixtures. 2) there were a few pinholes i had to fill with enamel touch-up.
