There was no leveling pad in the box and the bottom sits a couple of inches above the ground. Am I missing something?

Answer:
Your tub should have a white foam pad on the bottom, that is already attached to the tub. Are you stating that your tub does not have that? Can you confirm the name of the tub you purchased.

usually contractors recommend mixing "mudd" --type of mortar and putting balls of it--like snowballs under the weight-bearing area that will support and spread out when the tub is set into place

Answer:
The width (side-to-side) is 60 inches.
The DEPTH (front-to-back) is 30 inches.
With all due respect to the Bootz reply, the only way that the width of this tub would be 30 inches is if the regular entry or exit was from one of the ends of the tub.

Home Depot does offer installation services. I would suggest speaking to a sales associate at your local store, as these programs vary by state.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by An exercise in frustation I read the mixed reviews and quickly inspected at the store before purchase. There were a bunch of open ones with chipped porcelain & other damage. Very flimsy packaging. I got it home and apparently didn't look close enough, there was a around 6 inch spot where the finish wasn't applied thick enough and you could see through to the black steel. Would surely rust through in no time. Have to haul back. If you are thinking about be sure to bring a flashlight and thoroughly inspect at store. A pain to have to rip open cardboard but better to discover damage at store before you buy. Will try another brand if can't find an acceptable one. October 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happylady Nice tub. Does the job for having a nice, clean tub for a good price. I am happy with the tub. October 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst purchase ever I purchased 2 of these tubs to have installed in rental property. upon opening the tubs my plumber discover numerous cracks/chips in the finish on both tubs. contacted store and was told there werent any more in stock and i was almost forced to install the tubs and repair the cracks and chips. sad. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk Typical Chines junk, buckles and cracks/ chips develop in paint September 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by wide ledge on front/face of tub not on back-side, look at the drawings on-line! will effect oc spacing..for rough-in on spout set! Watch out for dimensional rough-in chart, INCORRECT. According to the rough-in chart, the narrow tub ledge is on the front - WRONG - it's on the back-side. Thus, the 14-3/6" dimension on the diagram from the front side is incorrect. This will effect your centering the spout and shower head. It happened to me!! September 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Low tub I ordered the tub online for my contractors to install & didnt think to check the measurements as thought they came standard but this is about 4 inches lower than normal. September 13, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by bathtub We had two gouges in the first tub, when it was returned we checked before leaving and there was a gouge in that one, too. The third tub was all right. August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible product, tub began rusting immediately I bought this tub thinking it would meet my needs. It began rusting immediately and the finish began to crack within 2 months. May 4, 2016
