I love this tub. It is just the right tub height but, for economical reasons, would like to use a wall surround. Or, is the Bootz tubs strictly for tiling only?

Ape,
Box dimensions are 16" high x 62" long x 32" deep. You can always use the home depot "Load and Go" program if it will not fit in your car.

BootzCast 5 ft. Right Drain Soaking Tub in Bone is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 154.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's ok Its only been about a month and it looks great, but if you look closely, it chips easily. Not too happy with that, it says its durability is good, it's not!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't drain completely The tub looks nice but I'm not sur that will last. I made sure to check the finish before installing and looked to be sur th orner edges would drain. Some people mentioned in reviews that th slope at the upper corners caused water to not drain. The edges are ok but the bottom not very far from th drain dips so the water pools. Others mention this, too. I'm sure it will cause water stains eventually. I don't like the idea of having to "dry" my tub before I get out

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality porcelain. We have had this tub less than 2 years and it is only used when we have guests. Total times used maybe a dozen times. It now has at least 5 pits on the surface that goes through to the black metal. The trouble with a poor quality tub is that it is very difficult to remove when the walls are tile. We are going to see if we can get it recoated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Built-in base is a problem if your floor is not level and flat This tub could be a great tub with the right conditions. It has a built-in coated styrofoam base, so a mortar base is not needed. This is great if your floor is level and flat (like a plywood base floor). However, my foundation is concrete, which was neither flat nor level. I ended up having to cut off the tub base using a vibrating cutter in order to have the tub level up without a big gap between the floor and the flat side of the tub. I used Great Stuff foam between the tub and the floor for support (be sure to fill the tub after setting it to keep the foam from lifting the tub up). I also found that the styrofoam insulation around the overflow hole kept the tube from seating well, which resulted in leaks. I had to remove the insulation in that area and apply silicone caulk to stop the leak. So if your foundation is level and flat, this tub is five stars. If not, save your money and buy a cheaper tub without the insulation and built in base. A tub without a base will make your installation job much easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a pretty decent looking tub, and rather affordable. We debated a ton on whether to go wit... This is a pretty decent looking tub, and rather affordable. We debated a ton on whether to go with cast iron or porcelain-enameled steel. I live in a second floor condo, so steel it was, and I'm glad we went that route. This tub ended up being 1/2 inch wider than the old, so we had to cut some tile on the floor. Once we got it all set in place, we did have to cut off some of the insulation in order to get the overflow to fit properly. A few things to note: 1. If you can find an undamaged tub, this thing is great. We went to one Home Depot and found an AWFUL tub. We then went to another that had three in stock, and this one was packed better and looks great. I have found maybe one pinhole in the porcelain. Moral of the story: check out the tub before you leave the store, or you may be upset. 2. The tub is a little off-white. I used white tile for the surround, and I didn't find it to be the end of the world, but worth noting. 3. The soaking depth is quite nice, and the sloped back is 50% of why I installed a new tub!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a quality product Purchased tub and took it home. Box was in perfect condition but the finish had a scratch and was very thin in one big spot. Returned tub for refund. Tried to purchase another one and it was even more damaged. Went with another brand from another chain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Couldn't find one that wasn't cracked We went through two of these tubs both of them came in cracked, and the other three that we checked at the Home Depot stores were also damaged. We ended up going with a different brand. Incredibly frustrating.
