I love this tub. It is just the right tub height but, for economical reasons, would like to use a wall surround. Or, is the Bootz tubs strictly for tiling only?

Ape,
Box dimensions are 16" high x 62" long x 32" deep. You can always use the home depot "Load and Go" program if it will not fit in your car.

BootzCast 5 ft. Right Drain Soaking Tub in Bone is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 149.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poory designed - Don't buy Many problems with this tub, Home Depot should stop selling it. Here are all the problems I had. Overflow hole is a little too small and not at the standard angle. A standard overflow drain pipe does not fit properly. The insulation is too thick around the overflow and bottom drain holes, has to be cut away. The back top edge was bowed out by 1/2" in the middle. The installation instructions require a 2x4 support under the left side and back edges of the tub, but the insulation is not tight against the tub, so the 2x4 really does nothing. After modifications, I got the tub secured in place with the drain connected, when I discovered a flaw in the porcelain finish. It did not show when I first unpacked the tub. Now I have to patch the chip. I will never buy another BOOTZCAST product. I went back to the store and talked to the plumbing associate, he said they have lots of problems with BOOTZCAST tubs and agreed that Home Depot needs to stop carrying them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's ok Its only been about a month and it looks great, but if you look closely, it chips easily. Not too happy with that, it says its durability is good, it's not!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good price but bad design Tub is nicely coated, bottom is flat. About 3 months after we labored to install the tub I started to notice the water stands near the drain hole. It would not empty completely by it self. I had to kick the last of the water puddle toward the drain hole to almost empty the tub of water. Yes I plumed the tub but the built in bottom may contribute to the problem. I would recommend if the water would drain completely but the design causes the puddle and it bothers me every time I take a shower or bath. When not clean often the puddle leaves a noticeable ugly stain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't drain completely The tub looks nice but I'm not sur that will last. I made sure to check the finish before installing and looked to be sur th orner edges would drain. Some people mentioned in reviews that th slope at the upper corners caused water to not drain. The edges are ok but the bottom not very far from th drain dips so the water pools. Others mention this, too. I'm sure it will cause water stains eventually. I don't like the idea of having to "dry" my tub before I get out

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality porcelain. We have had this tub less than 2 years and it is only used when we have guests. Total times used maybe a dozen times. It now has at least 5 pits on the surface that goes through to the black metal. The trouble with a poor quality tub is that it is very difficult to remove when the walls are tile. We are going to see if we can get it recoated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yuck...white has dingy look Call me picky, but I expect my new white tub to be close to as white as the toilet and sink. Nope this tub is off-white, just short of almond. Contractor had to bring the label off the box because I was sure he'd purchased wrong tub. Yep... and it did get chipped during installation, Very bad purchase all the way around,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Built-in base is a problem if your floor is not level and flat This tub could be a great tub with the right conditions. It has a built-in coated styrofoam base, so a mortar base is not needed. This is great if your floor is level and flat (like a plywood base floor). However, my foundation is concrete, which was neither flat nor level. I ended up having to cut off the tub base using a vibrating cutter in order to have the tub level up without a big gap between the floor and the flat side of the tub. I used Great Stuff foam between the tub and the floor for support (be sure to fill the tub after setting it to keep the foam from lifting the tub up). I also found that the styrofoam insulation around the overflow hole kept the tube from seating well, which resulted in leaks. I had to remove the insulation in that area and apply silicone caulk to stop the leak. So if your foundation is level and flat, this tub is five stars. If not, save your money and buy a cheaper tub without the insulation and built in base. A tub without a base will make your installation job much easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking tub This bath tub looks great. Good price and good quality. It's 14 inches tall so it's good for taking shower as well as taking bath.
