This tub was a special order on a very time sensitive remodel for a client. It came in within the 7-10 days as promised - there was no visible damage to the packaging around it, but when it was unpacked on the job site, 15 miles from the store and in a sixth floor condo, it had damage in four locations. Indications were that it was damaged BEFORE It was even porcelain coated !!! I was less than impressed. And thanks to a local plumbing wholesaler, I was able to find a suitable alternative to this unit. The lost time in handling and waiting for this tub cost me triple what the tub cost to begin with.

CAREFULLY INSPECT THIS PRODUCT BEFORE INSTALLING! This was a mid priced tub, so I expected to receive something reasonably durable for the price. The gauge thickness of the steel is not thick enough in my opinion. The tub was shipped through Home Depot.com. Upon receipt, I inspected it. One top flange was bent. This was easily detected and could be straightened (indicating the thin gauge of the steel). The rest of the tub looked fine; no chips, cracks, or dents, so it was installed. When the contractor went to tile the floor, it became clear that the corner of the tub was not straight. This could not be seen upon the initial visual inspection. It appears to be a manufacturing defect as corner was perfectly out of shape with no visual signs of damage. Home Depot was nice enough to give me some credit, even though it was installed, but now I'm stuck with an installed tub with a bent corner. The contractor did the best they could with the tile work, but for something that is supposed to last for years, it's not the greatest product. Consider spending more, not settling for less.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nelgam15 Really good tub
The model and the features of this tub are great, the reason why we had to exchange the one we ordered was because it looks like the finish paint was uneven and not well done, but the new one was really nice, we are very pleased.

This bath tub looks great. Good price and good quality. It's 14 inches tall so it's good for taking shower as well as taking bath.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Newbath Doesn't drain completely
The tub looks nice but I'm not sur that will last. I made sure to check the finish before installing and looked to be sur th orner edges would drain. Some people mentioned in reviews that th slope at the upper corners caused water to not drain. The edges are ok but the bottom not very far from th drain dips so the water pools. Others mention this, too. I'm sure it will cause water stains eventually. I don't like the idea of having to "dry" my tub before I get out

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JC10 Built-in base is a problem if your floor is not level and flat
This tub could be a great tub with the right conditions. It has a built-in coated styrofoam base, so a mortar base is not needed. This is great if your floor is level and flat (like a plywood base floor). However, my foundation is concrete, which was neither flat nor level. I ended up having to cut off the tub base using a vibrating cutter in order to have the tub level up without a big gap between the floor and the flat side of the tub. I used Great Stuff foam between the tub and the floor for support (be sure to fill the tub after setting it to keep the foam from lifting the tub up).
I also found that the styrofoam insulation around the overflow hole kept the tube from seating well, which resulted in leaks. I had to remove the insulation in that area and apply silicone caulk to stop the leak.
So if your foundation is level and flat, this tub is five stars. If not, save your money and buy a cheaper tub without the insulation and built in base. A tub without a base will make your installation job much easier.
