-00 is the identifier for the color white, -96 is the identifier for the color biscuit. The tub shape and design is identical, they are just a different color.

Does bottom give?

When stepping in and once in the tub, is there any give in the bottom, or is it rock solid like cast iron? I am replacing a steel tub that gives with every step--hate it.
Asked by: Newtothis
The Bootzcast tub comes with a full length leveling/support pad. This supports the bottom of the tub. When installed correctly, there will be no flex in the bottom of the tub. It will support up to 300 lbs.

BootzCast 5 ft. Right Drain Soaking Tub in White is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 157.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't drain completely The tub looks nice but I'm not sur that will last. I made sure to check the finish before installing and looked to be sur th orner edges would drain. Some people mentioned in reviews that th slope at the upper corners caused water to not drain. The edges are ok but the bottom not very far from th drain dips so the water pools. Others mention this, too. I'm sure it will cause water stains eventually. I don't like the idea of having to "dry" my tub before I get out

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality porcelain. We have had this tub less than 2 years and it is only used when we have guests. Total times used maybe a dozen times. It now has at least 5 pits on the surface that goes through to the black metal. The trouble with a poor quality tub is that it is very difficult to remove when the walls are tile. We are going to see if we can get it recoated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Built-in base is a problem if your floor is not level and flat This tub could be a great tub with the right conditions. It has a built-in coated styrofoam base, so a mortar base is not needed. This is great if your floor is level and flat (like a plywood base floor). However, my foundation is concrete, which was neither flat nor level. I ended up having to cut off the tub base using a vibrating cutter in order to have the tub level up without a big gap between the floor and the flat side of the tub. I used Great Stuff foam between the tub and the floor for support (be sure to fill the tub after setting it to keep the foam from lifting the tub up). I also found that the styrofoam insulation around the overflow hole kept the tube from seating well, which resulted in leaks. I had to remove the insulation in that area and apply silicone caulk to stop the leak. So if your foundation is level and flat, this tub is five stars. If not, save your money and buy a cheaper tub without the insulation and built in base. A tub without a base will make your installation job much easier.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a quality product Purchased tub and took it home. Box was in perfect condition but the finish had a scratch and was very thin in one big spot. Returned tub for refund. Tried to purchase another one and it was even more damaged. Went with another brand from another chain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Couldn't find one that wasn't cracked We went through two of these tubs both of them came in cracked, and the other three that we checked at the Home Depot stores were also damaged. We ended up going with a different brand. Incredibly frustrating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice tub Nice white ceramic coating, Good quality, solid construction. Light enough to handle alone. Good insulation surrounding tub.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from EXTREMELY frustrated We didn't even get to try to install one of these tubs. I had read all the bad reviews, but was hopeful that maybe ours would be one of the 5 star products. When my installer took the first one out of the box, we found the surface near the drain to be defective and we saw a nick on the porcelain on the apron. He took that one back and had to go to a different store to find more. There he opened two more only to find defects. As another reviewer commented, that has to make you wonder about the quality of the product and/or quality control at that manufacturer. Home Depot needs to reconsider stocking this item.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Damaged Goods This tub was a special order on a very time sensitive remodel for a client. It came in within the 7-10 days as promised - there was no visible damage to the packaging around it, but when it was unpacked on the job site, 15 miles from the store and in a sixth floor condo, it had damage in four locations. Indications were that it was damaged BEFORE It was even porcelain coated !!! I was less than impressed. And thanks to a local plumbing wholesaler, I was able to find a suitable alternative to this unit. The lost time in handling and waiting for this tub cost me triple what the tub cost to begin with.
