Answer:
Left-hand drain means when you are looking at the skirt (the long side of the tub which is finished), the drain is on the left side. I have a left-drain tub; notice in the photo that when facing the tub's skirt, the plumbing is on the left side of the tub. It has nothing to do with north or south (in fact, my drain is on the east side as my tub is orientated east-west).

I saw one when I was looking-do an online search in the price range and use low to high. They should show up near each other if not adjoining items.
For the record, i bought and installed this and like it. The steel seemed a bit noisy-a roll of fiberglass insulation quieted it nicely! Good luck.

Lisa, you'll need a drain and overflow. These come in plastic or brass and can be found in the bathtub aisle of the HD. Frame it out but before installing the tub make sure the drain and overflow are in place first. It makes plumbing installation much easier. Jay

I did. It may take some creative thinking by the customer service person when you call in to make your order. Shipping to the store if it doesn't stock the tub is not an online option so you have to make a call. You may have some extra time sorting the paper work when you do the pick up because this may not be a routine shipment.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible packaging - Can't believe the vendor hasn't done anything about it Unfortunately, you get what you pay for with this bathtub. They are very poorly packaged from the manufacturer so it's anybody's guess as to whether or not they will arrive damaged or not. It is not Home Depot's fault as we ordered them from another website and they were damaged and then placed the order with Home Depot for them. The ones from Home Depot were still damaged, but fortunately, it was along the tile flange and we will cover it up with the tile for the shower surround. If you do need to order these tubs, I would allow for extra time to order it again if the first one arrives damaged. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by solid tub solid tub, balances out well, not too heavy and only cut one stud to install February 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product The quality of the product was very good. I was able to install the tub easily and thus far I have no complaints. My in-store experience was atrocious when I went to pick it up, but the staff was mostly friendly. I would also mention that the price difference between a left hand drain and right hand drain is a little ridiculous. TL:DR Great product, poor customer service. August 2, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty Perfect fit in our mobile. Havent used yet, still in the middle of remodeling July 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't even bother Four times I ordered this tub and four times it came in damaged. My project has been delayed for months and I still don't have a tub. I will not order a fifth. The tub is cheaply made with very thin porcelain and shipped in a cardboard box without protective packaging. Most of the damage clearly happened during shipping however one tub had severe a flaw (2x2 in area of porcelain missing inside the tub) that would have happened at the manufacturer. I could not comment on "ease of installation" because we never made it that far. Save yourself time and frustration and order a better quality tub from a different manufacturer who has figured out how to ship their products so that they arrive intact. May 13, 2016
