After installing this Bootz tub, we filled it with water and let it soak for a while. After rinsing it out, we noticed small black holes on the drain end of the tub appearing. We could hardly believe it when we realized there were about forty pinholes of missing enamel exposing metal. There was missing enamel around the perimeter of the apron also. Look VERY carefully before going to all the trouble of installing.

I'm not a plumber or the son of a plumber! I couldn't believe installing a porcelain tub could be so easy. The tub was light enough for my teenage son and I to carry upstairs. The tub, itself, was very "true" so it fit just right in the opening and required little to no leveling. Once caulked and tiled...it's as solid as rock.
Super nice upgrade to our house!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steve Muai Tub is a great deal...just be careful to protect it.
You cannot beat this for the price. Two warnings:
1. Open the box and make sure the tub is not chipped and that the drain is oriented in your correct direction.
2. The tub will chip if you are not careful. Take all precautions during install and tiling.
This is my second of these tubs. The first has worked perfectly. The second is waiting to be installed in another bathroom. I did this project without any professional help. The install, the tiling, the plumbing, etc... You can too, just be careful with the tub.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY THIS TUB. Professionally installed by a contractor and the porcelain on the tub started coming off the steel in three places....completely covered and protected during install as instructed. Had to go through 4 tubs to exchange to get this one... Remains to be seen how Bootz and Home Depot handles this......Will update soon!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TublessTodd No Quality Control
Did a descent amount of research on tubs at the big 2 stores and picked this one. I knew to be careful about the finish from reading several other reviews but thought since the complaints were from a while back the company might have fixed the issue. I was very wrong. I purchased one, took it home and when I opened it I found 3 issues with the finish where it had cracked and the steel was visible. One in particular was above the support bracket where it was attached to the top of the tub and was the size of a dime. I took it back and swapped it for another but before leaving I cracked open the box and saw that the new tub had the same issue where the support bracket was welded. I went to a different store and tried again and the third was the same. I opted to buy the more expensive MauiCast tub thinking since i was buying cheaper i was getting what i paid for but when i did a visual inspection on the more expensive MauiCast I found that the front right hand side of the tub had barely any finish on it from the edge in over an inch. It seems this company has no quality control and I am giving up on this brand completely. Its a shame because I liked the specs and the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BuyerBeware22 Didn't expect a tub of this quality
It's a good deep steel tub with a comfort back. I installed it myself. I don't think I could be happier with the product. Exceptional value for money on this buy, and I intend to keep putting in the same tub in different renovations for as long as I can.

I purchased this tub to replace an old green bathtub (remember those?) So happy to see it go and now my bathroom feels so much more modern. The tub fit through the doorways with no problem and slid right into place like a dream. Installing it was painless and I love that it is steel because I know it will last for many years to come. It is perfect for soaking as it is nice and deep. It holds quite a bit more water than my old tub and the back rest is perfect. I can't imagine why anyone would spend more for a tub as this is an excellent choice and super easy to clean
