Answer:
The simple answer is, yes it will. Bathtubs are built in and typically cement board / tile are placed on the inside of the tub lip. This is what typically accounts for the missing 1.5" The standard bathtub is 60" x 30". Most homes use this standard size.

Answer:
Hello Eric and thank you for your question.
Eric it really depends on what's behind the drywall and what the measurement is from stud to stud.
Drywall you're measuring from could easily be installed over an old drywall which would explain the 58" measurement instead of standard 60".
I would recommend to try to get the measurement from stud to stud before purchasing.
Hope this Read More

Answer:
Yes, the image shown is what is referred as a right hand tub. When standing in front of a tub, wherever the drain is located is what hand the tub is. If drain is on the right, its a right hand tub. If drain is on the.left, its a left hand tub.

I looked at the dimensions of these two tubs and something doesn't seem right on the HD website, what is the actually soaking depth of each of the tubs? I see the length and width are the same so the difference must be in the inside depth of the tub. Thank you

You are correct. Both tubs are designed to fit in a same-sized alcove. The Maui is more than two inches deeper than the Aloha. The height from the bottom of the tub to the centerline of the overflow in the Maui is 13 7/8 inches. It's 11 1/2 inches for the Aloha.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It took me FOUR tries and the tub is still dented!! I ordered a tub on a Saturday, my contractor picked it up Monday. He opened the box on Monday afternoon to install it and there was a chunk of paint missing in the tub. I called and said this looks like someone returned it and I got it. Tuesday, the contractor brought the missing paint tub back and picked up another. Paint looked good at first glance - as they are carrying the tub in, they did a double take as the entire side was warped. Clearly damaged in production and a bad patch job applied. Can't put a warped tub against straight tile, so I called the store again. I brought it back in my truck. Even though they "eyeballed" four in stock, there was actually none when I got there so they told me they would give me the next level of tub at the same cost. I asked if it was the same size and specifications and they said yes. So I bring it back and nope, it's too shallow and i would have to spend money to rearrange my pipes. At this point, I am on tve verge of tears because its holding up my bathroom. I drove to another home depot where they apologize and give me a discount for my troubles. I look it over in the terrible home depot lighting and all the paint is there and it looks straight. I get it home and the contractor opens it completely in front of me. There in front of my house, I scream that I am done and don't care anymore. Put the stupid thing in. There were two small dents on the left side. Basically, if you buy this tub expect it to be a dented messed up piece of garbage. Ive come to the conclusion that the company does not do enough to protect the outside of the tub. One side of the box clearly needs more padding than they give it. It is a shame that so many have defects simply because they dont have enough styrofoam in the box. I seriously hope i never have to buy another tub ever. If i do, i will avoid this company at all costs. Not worth the traumatizing experience. August 29, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great deal if you can find one not damaged. Both tubs we have purchased were damaged. Went to exchange one of them (one of them we kept even though it had a bent corner) the had 2 of them left in stock at the store and both were damaged also- Porcelain was scratched off in a few places on each one. Had to go to another HD location to find one and luckily it wasn't damaged. Open the box to check it before you take it home, otherwise you'll probably end up having to exchange it. Installation on it is super easy! August 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tub Replacement The only reason I'm not giving this product 5 stars is due to the fact that the drain stopper is very loose and I can't get the set screw loose to adjust it and then re-tighten it. I've tried contacting the manufacturer, but have not received any response in over a week. It would be great if I could at least get a response out of the manufacturer. Thank you, August 16, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase This item was very easy to install. The price was worth it. August 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not believe the spec sheets. I purchased this tub specifically because of the specs of the drain position. Spec sheet says the drain center should be 8 1/2" from the wall, however, the actual penetration for the drain int he tub is closer to 9 1/2" ... FAIL June 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great bathtub! Very high quality bathtub at an excellent price. Installation was quick and easy. June 8, 2016
