Customer Reviews

1-1/4 in. Forstner Bit is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts clean with a flat bottom Use at slow speeds (600 rpm) on hardwoods for a clean, burn-free cut. Cuts a nice, flat bottom. Very precise cut with good ejection of shavings. I would recommend this item without hesitation. You definitely get your money's worth out of this bit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for hard woods. Dulls quickly. This bit gets very hot and very dull quickly. Yes, I used the suggested speed, and set my drill press at a speed of 900. In spite of going very slow, it heated up quickly, in spite of everything I tried, and dulled quickly. I returned it and instead bought a Freud Carbide Bit that is absolutely fantastic. So if you need to drill more than a hole or two, spend the extra bucks and go Freud Carbide!
