Rated 3 out of 5 by Update from my previous review So I reviewed this without alot of knowledge on drilling concrete. This bit was very difficult to use with a corded hammer drill. What you need is a SDS rotary hammer. Not a hammer drill. Regular hammer drills are more for drilling brand new concrete and only a few holes. I purchased a Bosch rotary hammer from home depot with a SDS 1/2" bosch drill bit and it worked like a charm. Dont attempt to drill 30 holes with this through 50 year old concrete with aggragate rock in it. Use a rotary hammer with SDS drill bits. I leraned my lesson. This bit is good only for newer concrete, no aggragate rock and for minimal use. Step up to bosch SDS for the big boy jobs. October 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Lasted about 1/2 hole This thing lasted about 1/2 of a 3 inch hole. The teeth were dull in about 1 inch of concrete. I switched to a cheap Craftsmen but and it worked perfectly October 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by DRILLED 1.3 holes THEN IT STOPPED Made 1.3 holes in a concrete foundation poured in 1952. Not really sure if that's normal. It was really tough going. My hammer drill is very powerful so that's not the problem. September 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good bit for the money Have only drilled a couple of holes into concrete slabs with this bit, but chewed through quickly with minimal chipping. Seems to be holding up well, would definitely recommend for the casual user, don't know that I'll ever drill enough holes with it to tell how long it would actually hold an edge, certainly seems to fill my needs very well. Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked as advertised Works great and stayed sharp. Used it to drill 8 holes in 4" concrete. September 20, 2014
