After using Hilti rotary and demo hammers for over 25 years, we made the switch to Bosch about 2 years ago and we have been very pleased. While the Hilti may be a slightly more robust tool, the Bosch is more then capable. The Bosch 11264EVS specs out similar to the Hilti TE-70 in blow force, BPM and RPM while weighing nearly 7 pounds less and at 1/3 the cost. Performance in the field mirrors the "on paper" numbers and is practically identical to that of the higher priced Hilti. For us the Bosch makes better economic sense and is capable of standing up to the rigors of day to day commercial general contracting use and abuse.

I've only had my 11264EVS for a week now and have only used it for driving a ground rod. I like the design features of this rotary hammer: The indicator lights, swivel cord attachment point, variable speed dial, vibration damper handle, trigger switch with release and the general feel of the tool (weight, robustness and appearance). I have a few other Bosch tools which I am very happy with and will replace with same or upgrade when that time comes. Thanks for building quality tools.

Every time I go to rent a rotary/demolition hammer it was a craps shoot. Half the time they lacked the necessary power or were just a plain lemon. This hammer will do any job you throw at it. It's expensive yes, but we all know you get what you pay for. Bought the 1-1/4 model first and it didn't quite have the power I wanted. So I just went ahead and bought the biggest one I could find in the store that day. I have since busted up over 1,000 sq ft of asphalt and some concrete. Dug through rows and rows of hard clay, I have striped tiles and tomorrow will be tearing up 500 sq' of out door carpet. Definitely worth the price tag if you can afford it.

Purchased this when my store had them on clearance, and it was surely a steal. Great power to weight ratio with this rotary hammer. Use it primarily to drive ground rods. Noticed that it was replaced on the shelf by a model that was made in China, which I would have passed on.

This is an excellent tool and may be overkill for many DIY home renovation projects, but if one considers the cost of rentals, including the tool bits, the payback is probably less than 10 projects. Make no mistake, this tool is "hard-core," a serious "pro" tool." For my first reno. project, I used it for removing 30 year old tiles from a concrete floor, and the residual tile cement. The tile cement was so firmly bonded to the concrete floor, I couldn't remove it by any manual means (hammer and concrete chisels). However the Bosch ripped it up with no problems, except for the dust!! Highly recommended. It also drills and breaks up concrete with no problems.

The tool performs wonderfully in outdoor temperatures above freezing, but.....beware of subzero temps.

Great light weight rotary hammer with the power to act as an actual small scale chipping hammer too. Probably around same power as 10 lb air hammer. Used for 300 hours so far removing concrete. SDS lockups due to dust in system has shown itself a couple times and general cleaning of tool is required to help prevent. One failure so far is the cord attachment to the machine failed after about 100 hours. Repaired on warranty. Very limited use seen as a rotary hammer so it is hard to comment. 11321 would be a better option for chipping work using similar weight class.

Bought this rotary drill one year ago for drilling fence post holes into lava rock. Worked great using a portable generator in the field. It also was perfect for removing tile in a bathroom remodel, for hammering through concrete slab and light rebar in the home to move water pipes. This tool is amazing and very useful for demolition projects (and Hawaii fence posts).
