I bought this saw a little over a month ago and, considering it a "special tool" that I would use once in a while, stored it with other such seldom used if valuable tools. After a month I've moved it to the pegboard over my workbench and continue to be amazed at how many times I pick it up for this cutting job or trim work. Solid construction, great balance, long battery life - enhanced by battery status indicator integrated into the tool. I've found it so useful that I bought the 12 V Bosch PS130-2A hammer drill as well.

I'm an electrician and this has suited me perfectly for all my jobs. I work in a facility with over 800,000 square feet of buildings so I have to be ultra portable so I mostly carry a backpack with tools. This little saw replaced my standard hack saw and has cut down on job times greatly. It's easily operated one handed and cutting EMT in the air is easy. I did find that it worked better with a 24 tooth blade, especially with soft metals like EMT and unistrut. I highly recomend this saw! Combined with my PS31 drill I can tackle many jobs.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Carpenter1006 Great saw to get into small places!
I have owned this saw for over 6 months now and it is a little work horse. Have used it for pruning trees, some plumbing jobs, and the latest job where the saw was invaluable was getting a tree root ball out of the ground that had grown around and pinched off a sprinkler line. The small size of the saw allowed us to get in and around the tree root to cut it and the sprinkler line out. The saw was covered in mud and dirt after we were done and was still in working order. Thanks for making a great saw Bosch!

I am a remodeling contractor and needed a cordless recip saw for smaller projects. First use was cutting 8" diameter holes inside a wall cabinet for vent hood duct. The size of the PS60 was perfect to fit between the shelves, and allowed the control I needed. I have since cut through 2 x 10 ceiling joists when installing an attic stair, and cut an opening in plywood roof sheathing. I love this tool.

I am a licensed Electrical Contractor and shortly after purchasing this little pocket reciprocating saw I quickly made it a standard tool in my kit. It is powerful for its size, very easy to change blades, compact enough to get into tight places, and with headlights to boot! It works very well with standard size blades also. And if that's not enough, use it for pruning just about anything, any size in your yard or your hunting lease.

This little guy has bailed me out a number of times: EMT, Metal Studs, Small Tree Stumps, Small Notching of Rafters, Rough Pruning, and a few others. I would venture you could even use it to cut a well done steak :o)
It is very handy to have nearby when you have something quick to do. Obviously you will want a bigger recip. for projects where you KNOW you are going to do a lot of cutting.
My only wish for it would be an adjustable shoe.

This saw is good for work that the larger reciprocating saw is to large or powerful for (like sprinkler pipe). Works well on PVC and in tight spaces. Can even be used for pruning small branches. Definitely not as powerful as its 18V larger cousin but it should not be expected to be. It is powerful enough for its size. With the right blade it is very useful for cutting pipe and some demo work where space is limited.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by mariosis I would have to say this is not a good value at this power and price point
I bought this hackzall after using my boss'es "Red Brand". I used it to cut some 1.5 inch copper pipe in a tight space,Wow! I tried this Bosch brand because it gave me 2 batteries instead of 1 with the "Red Brand". I used it the following day for about 10-15 minutes of light to medium use and the battery just went down quickly. Took it back and bought the Bosch 12amp saw sall. Much happier..
