Answer:
Nothing. They are both designed for concrete drilling. If used with wood you will dull the bit quickly, so use the masonry bit for concrete type application only.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great This drill is excellent , has a lot of power I'm a woodworking and I can tell you I use it a lot and work great . I haven't try on metal but I think this drill will do the job on any material . I recommend this drill to anyone who do woodwork . October 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Disappionted Hammer drilled eight holes in concrete filled cement block. I was surprised at the lack of power after having read the spec. sheet. Holes took longer to drill than I would have expected (fyi, the holes were only 3/16" in diameter). The hammer action would also disengage periodically for no apparent reason. I changed the bits so I could then drive 1/4" tapcon screws. I switched the mode to drill. It worked for approximately 2 seconds then abruptly switched itself back to hammer mode. It stayed in hammer mode regardless of mode switch position. I took it back the next day. I have read the reviews for the Bosch 1 " hammer drill and have decided to go ahead and spring for the $199 Bosch. February 11, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy Lasted 3 months and motor burned up. I would not recommend this. October 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Drill Solid tool with lots of power. Controls are conveniently placed. September 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lived up to expectations The drill lived up to my expectations. Drilled through concrete without any trouble. August 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Incredible power. The average DIY'er will never wear this drill out. I still have my Ryobi except that it changed address...permanently. So I had to get another one. At $99 this drill is a steal considering it will last forever. Combined with the Bosch granite drill bits it makes fast work of anything you can put it to. It's dual function and has a guide you can use for depth. It comes with a nice molded case with some storage. The only issue is the fact it's corded and the limitations that come with that which generally means dealing with an extension cord. I don't mind though when you consider it's nearest quality competitor is at least 2.5 - 3x the price. Bosch quality is hard to beat. Get it, you won't regret it. November 1, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by for the price this tool is an excellent choice. I'm very happy with the Bosch brand of tools & this 1/2" hammer drill is no exception. I bought the cheaper model because it gets used so seldom as I'm now 73 yrs old & retired. My last project was remodeling our basement & this hammerdrill has more than enought power to do the job, I would rate it at a 10 !! Thank you March 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Quality I'm glad they still make this kind of drill with power cord, there's nothing better than a cord powered drill, the product quality is very good, there's nothing innovative about this drill but I think is somehow overpriced a bit, even so, I will recommend this drill.
