Answer:
Hi there, it can be done even if replacing bits without removing the router from the table could be a little awkward. Keep in mind the limitations of tool power and 1/4" collet.

Thank you for your question. The Bosch PR10E is designed to be used as a palm router, it is not compatible with any of our Bosch router tables.

If not, what tool can I use that is inexpensive. I am a hobbyist - not a professional. Would I have to have a router table?

Answer:
Hi, you can use the Colt with a clamp guide making sure that there is enough room for the router base and the guide. A light router table setup would be perfect and would let you do additional fancy work. You can also cut your rabbets on a table saw with a blade with flat top grind/FTG teeth.

Answer:
Thank You for your question. To cut rabbets we would recommend using a router table. The PR20 Colt router is designed to be used as a palm router and will not work in a router table. We would recommend a full size router to use in the router table like the MRF23EVS: http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/202716972?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=bosch+router&storeId=10051&N=5yc1v&R=202716972

Thank you for your question. The PR10E Colt Router works well with laminates, be sure to use a bit designed for laminate. We do offer #85287 solid carbide hole and flush-cut trimmer bit for laminates.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bosch Router, PR10E It work OK but I wish I'd got the model with the adjustable speed. The fine adjustment on the router bit depth doesn't work, but then I started using it before reading the instructions. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bosch quality Great router. Hind sight I would have bought the varible speed version for my needs. That is my fault, not the routers. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bosch Palm Router Single Speed This product met all my needs. The only disappointing feature vs. the variable speed palm router was that they removed the comfortable rubber grip. May 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good little router Light and easy to use. Seems to have adequate power. April 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Palm Router Used this router with an end mill bit to mill 7075 aluminum, worked prefect, plenty of power, easy to guide. June 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bosch Works great, love the fit in my hand, easily adjusts, adapts to several different sizes of bits, would have been nice if came with a bag or case to carry with me on jobs, l think pretty much every tool should come with one, but besides that the extra amp it packs is great for drawer fronts and your cabinet doors, it was a good purchase March 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Top of the line This tool is a must have for contractors and or Home repairs, or Hobbiest. It delivers when needed, and will give the precise cutting you need each and every time, always try a practice run on scrap material before starting your project, this way you will have the right touch to apply your cut. I use Bosh tools and their other products to build cradles for my Grand babes, and doll cradles for my Grand daughters,, having uses my router to make precision cuts I feel it was the best choice in my tool box, and to add additional tools of the same brand will inhance my work. it is a mus thave tool! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good router, terrible case The router is above average, the case is not user friendly. After a year of tolerating the case it is now in the trash. I have other hand tools by different vendors with much more friendly cases. This is only good if it stays in a workshop. It is small enough to be portable but the hassle with the case makes it not very portable. I like the milwaukee tools cases, much more user friendly. Pass this one up and get one with a better case.
