Answer:
It only takes sds max bits. So no. Spline or sds plus will not fit this tool. Home Depot sells all the max bits you would need. I assume you have a lot of spline bits and are hoping they are compatible.

Answer:
The only difference is the type of accessories the rotary hammer will accept. 11264EVS accepts SDS-Max shank accessories and the 11265EVS accepts Spline shank accessories. Otherwise, the tool itself is the same including the specifications and features.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Digging through established lawns fine. Not able to dig through finger-sized tree roots. My review is mainly about my trench digging experience. This is my first time putting SDS Max bits into the drill, I initially didn't install the bit correctly. Turn on the hammer power, there is no any movement from the bit. After couple attempts, I finally learned that I need to push in the bit and twist it somehow to get it "latched". I need to dig a 100 ft trench to build retaining wall on established lawn slope. There are three four trees around. I bought this hammer with SDS Max clay spade hoping to dig through tree roots, but I learned that it doesn't. It bounces without cutting through roots. Digging through lawns without tree roots is a easy job for this hammer though. For finger-size tree roots, I need to use reciprocating saw to cut them. So the trench digging job ideally requires two persons: one uses this hammer to dig. Once encountered tree root, 2nd person with reciprocating saw could cut the root quickly so that 1st person can continue digging. Vibration: my hands didn't feel any strong vibration at all. Very very minor vibration which I believe will not make my hand numb by any chance even for hour long usage. What makes me tired is to keep pulling up the clay spade. Once the digging is done, next job is tampering. Instead of renting a 200+ lbs tampering machine, I believe I could just use the Bosch 5" tamper plate with this tool. I am about to order tamper plate give it a try. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars only because it doesn't dig through finger-sized tree root. Overall, love this tool! September 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best tool in my shop Every time I go to rent a rotary/demolition hammer it was a craps shoot. Half the time they lacked the necessary power or were just a plain lemon. This hammer will do any job you throw at it. It's expensive yes, but we all know you get what you pay for. Bought the 1-1/4 model first and it didn't quite have the power I wanted. So I just went ahead and bought the biggest one I could find in the store that day. I have since busted up over 1,000 sq ft of asphalt and some concrete. Dug through rows and rows of hard clay, I have striped tiles and tomorrow will be tearing up 500 sq' of out door carpet. Definitely worth the price tag if you can afford it. November 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by German Quality Purchased this when my store had them on clearance, and it was surely a steal. Great power to weight ratio with this rotary hammer. Use it primarily to drive ground rods. Noticed that it was replaced on the shelf by a model that was made in China, which I would have passed on. May 20, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Has a lot of uses Hammer/drill has a lot of uses. I have used it to drive rebar into the ground, bust up tree stumps, and concrete work. I would have given it five stars if the price tag was a little more reasonable. But the hammer does work and work very well. November 8, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by unbelievable machine worth every penny Have to say Bosch makes a superior demolition tool. it chews through concrete like a buzz saw. one tough tool, would recommend it in a hearbeat. September 4, 2013
