At what distance this tool should be used from the objects to obtain best results?

Asked by: Jimmyhandyman
Thank you for your question. The distance will vary depending on the application. Before performing an application we recommend that you experiment with a piece of scrap material. Use care in approaching the work until you find the proper combination of shutter adjustment, distance from the work surface and heat application time.

14.3 Amp Corded Heavy-Duty Heat Gun is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from dropped and absused, but still working sturdy and effective. Not sure how many times--but too many--this tool has hit the floor and it still fires up and gets the job done

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better overall value then serious competitor. I purchased from large Internet retailer in November, knowing that freezing pipes is going to be an issue. I found the 1942 for a cheaper price then the comparable Master Appliance model. They are the same machine, just painted different colors. Pays to shop around. I have since bought another 1942 for my other service truck. I would love it if they came with all the nozzles included.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As advertized Heats up quickly and easily removed multiple layers. Very effective in removing thick layers but still needs chemical stripper to smooth over at the end

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very powerful heat gun. Works great. I had been borrowing an old Master Appliance heat gun that looks very similar to this Bosch model and decided to purchase my own for some new projects I have. The Bosch heat gun works better than the Master Appliance (which I had no complaints with). I have been using the Bosch to strip multiple layers of paint off of old interior doors. The paint comes off with one pass and except for the nooks and crannies, the door is ready for staining. Some power tools appear to have lower quality these days to save on cost. Not this product. It is high quality and made in the USA. Of course, you are paying for it. But I expect to get many years of use out of this heat gun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Heat Gun The 1942 has been laying around our shop for as long as I can remember. This is a no frills product, but it does what we need it to do every time, and for a very long time. There is very good heat adjustment and the stand works well.
