Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WingedHussar Superb Design, flawless functionality
I received the CM10GD sliding dual bevel Sliding Miter saw a few days ago as a gift along with the Bosch Miter saw stand. Assembling the sturdy stand was very easy. The Miter Saw documentation was easy to follow and I had the saw in operation in a few minutes. A quick project was completed and the saw performed flawlessly.
The documentation mentioned about adjusting the miters and bevel scales, but when I checked these, there were accurately set right out of the box.
I am not a professional woodworker or carpenter and purchased the saw to assist me in building items for the house and garden. Up till now, I had only used a circular saw and a router for woodworking projects. I am just learning all the optional uses of this Miter Saw and am amazed at the versatility and accuracy of the device.
The functionality and design exceeded my expectations.
I strongly recommend purchasing the Bosch Stand with the saw, it eases the transport and is rock solid once set up.
Best gift in years.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ArkySaws Uncommonly Smooth Action, Tighter Tolerances In The Glide Feature Would Make It Five Star
I have been chasing one of these saws for a while starting with a display I saw at a local store several years ago, it was a twelve inch model. A radical change from the norm of various incarnations of the tube rail slide is what caught my eye. I don't like twelve inch saws for reasons I won't bore you with here, and so I waited and bided my time, and sure enough they came up with a ten inch version. Considerably more RPM at the blade and overall rigidity is pretty good on the ten inch model. For a space saving stationary shop saw that won't be getting thrown in the truck much, this is the saw to buy. Four star rating is for the fiddly adjustments out of the box that are required to get all the detents stopping true, and the cumulative flex in the various sections of the glide mechanism that add up to about a half degree either way. It is a Chinese built saw after all, no sense deluding ourselves about that. Be forewarned it is a heavy pig, and only a pound lighter than it's bigger cousin.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TRdrillerman Great saw but lousy dust collection
This is the third compound miter saw that I've bought. The first two were " lime Asian green". I bought this to reduce the need for back wall clearance and the smooth motor travel. I had both other saws hooked to a 5 HP dust collection vacuum with a cyclone bucket dust stripper. The combination worked great with the other two saws; this unit's sawdust shroud only catches part of the dust. Customer support says I have to add another shroud to make it work. So much for wanting more back clearance......

I bought this saw to replace a Festool Kepex, and I've been more then satisfied. It's extreamly smooth, and easy to use. The controls in the front make it very convienent for bevel cuts and angles. No more struggling with the back of the saw. I have not had to set and reset the accuasy of this sawa nod I transport it in a trailer and it's been dead nuts on every time I pull it out. Dust collection works grate, defiantly compatible to the kepex. It is still heavy. If your a on the move guy or gall get the Bosch TB4 Stand it will make a huge differance. All in All I love the saw. I won't get anything els from now on.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Aw757 Good idea but....
The saw was almost dead accurate out of the box and was very easy to adjust in every way. My major complaint is that there is a lot of side to side play caused by the cutting action. You have to be very careful when you make a cut to push straight down or the cut will skew as much as 3/16". Not a plus for jobsite use when hundreds of cuts are made every day.

I bought this tool after long deliberation and reading all the specs and reviews of chop saws. I am a contractor and we do a wide variety of jobs which require accurate cuts and constant moving of job sites.
This saw is sweet! The knuckle slide system and the motor placement give this saw amazing accuracy, cutting depth and stability. It is the smoothest operation of any saw I've tested. The dust collection is very good and collects most of the saw dust without a vacuum.

I am a sculptor using this saw for my artwork as well as side work. The saw cuts very well, needed little work to true out of the box, and can handle whatever I throw at it. The 10" of saved space behind it allows me to work around the machine in my small shop, and nullifies the chronic sawdust-cobweb-nether region I have always experienced behind larger, more bulky tools. A great buy if you have the money to spend on it - I think of this sort of tool as something I will use lightly, forever.
