Product Overview

The innovation responsible for both the unique appearance and the unparalleled level of performance of the Bosch 10 in. Dual Bevel Glide Miter Saw is Bosch's patented Axial-Glide System. Beyond giving the saw its distinctive profile, Bosch's Axial-Glide System eliminates three key challenges miter saw users have endured since the first slide systems debuted many years ago. While the traditional sliding compound miter saw approach enables users to make wider cross cuts that system takes up more space and is prone to misalignment and stickiness over time. By replacing the sliding rail system with a hinged or articulating glide arm system similar to the linkage used in a four-bar suspension design Bosch created a more compact miter saw that delivers durable precision, remaining true and smooth over time.

Does this saw have a "soft-start" motor? Will it accept a laser?

Asked by: keith
It does not have a soft start motor. In fact it will shift your workpiece if you don't secure it extra tight.

Is the 12 in. version of this saw the only one with a built in laser?

Asked by: shopsaw
You can purchase accessory laser which attaches to the blade arbor for the 10" unit. It's not very accurate.

15 Amp Corded 10 in. Dual-Bevel Sliding Glide Miter Saw with 60-Tooth Carbide Saw Blade is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 46.

Saw is easy to use, up front controls are a little complicated at first but much nicer than having to reach behind. Fits with very little overhang on a 25" counter and rotates out of the way when not in use. Blade guard has a tendency to get caught/deflect during some cuts, and there is a small amount of lateral deflection during sliding cuts. Dust collection is surprisingly good when hooked up to a Festool CT vac with a 27mm hose and expect to see even better collection with a larger diameter hose. Overall, this is a very good saw with an excellent crosscut capacity but minor deflection issues in the guard and wider cuts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Precise cuts over 2 years I have this saw almost 2 years and precision is still like day one. This saw is amazing and every pro should invest on this rather then getting sliding mitersaw. You can cut any material with it saw has plenty power. Since its so precise you dont waste no material (speacially croen mouldinh) everytime cuts it dead on. I purchased the ls010 laser too so no more guessing where the blades is gonna land. Bevel control in the front makes bevel cuts a breeze. You can move from right to left in matter of seconds. No more leaning back to saw to adjust the bevel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Precise, easy to use saw I have purchased two of these in the past 3 years and have had very good experiences. the glide arm is smooth and the cuts are precise. Occasionally an adjustment is necessary as with all tools but that is also a painless experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great miter saw There is a lot that i like about this saw. It is my upgrade from the slidig saw and i love it. Pros: Smooth gliding action, you can put right against the wall so it's a space saver, all controls are in the front of the saw so you dont have to reach out in the back to set your bevel cuts, cutting angles above 45° degrees also helpful 47 bevel and 60 miter, you can lock arm in the right position to cut crown moldings also cutting depth adjustment for cutting notches or something else. Cons: Material supporting clamp is hard to use and takes too much time with that screw type adjustment I would recommend some type of quick locking clamps for it. Dust extraction is not too bad but could be improved, i have made some improvements to it and now it catches more dust. This saw is not cheap so should have nice laser guide right out of the box. Saw is pretty heavy so not very portable by one person, i have to use wheeled stand to transport to the job site and it takes a lot of space in my truck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best saw I have ever bought I bought this saw to do a special wood flooring job about 8 months ago. Two of my co-workers have bought the same saw since. Very smooth action.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very rugged tool My wife let me get this saw which in itself is fantastic. I actually had two other miter saws before this one, and returned them to the store. The first saw was to limited, and I would not be able to cut certain pieces of wood. The second saw was very poor for checking correct angle or bevel, back it went. Yes, I had to pay more for the Bosch, but everything was easier to deal with for checking the accuracy of the saw. Plus, a much greater diversity of wood widths can be accomplished with the saw. One issue is the weight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Design, Poor Execution When I first saw this saw I had to have it. When I first played with the glide system at a wood show I had to have it. When I finally saved up enough money to buy it I got it. For the last year I've been fighting with it to get it to cut accurately. Today I read some reviews about the arbor not being aligned with the glide mechanism. I went out and tested my saw and found this to be the problem that has been plaguing me. I was able to get my blade perpendicular to the fence but that doesn't matter if the blade travels from left to right as you push the saw in. I also discovered that the vertical travel of the blade down during chop cuts is also off. In 3 1/2" cutting from the right side the blade travels a 1/16" from right to left. By the time I've finished my cut the blade no longer touches the board I cut. From what I have read there is no correcting this issue. Love the idea of saving space in my little shop. Love the fluid motion of the glide arms. Hate the fact that the blade couldn't stay true during any of the cutting motions. Bosch is correct in that their tools are very precise. I get the same results with every cut. Unfortunately they have compromised accuracy, I can't get the results I want.
